Went with my partner for a meal whilst on holiday in Blackpool, the food was fantastic!! Service was quick and our waitress was very attentive, even taking time when the restaurant was closing to have a chat with us. Brilliant place with the best music I've heard in a long time, loved the decor and the cocktails are great too. Will most certainly be back!!!

User

We called in here the other night and were amazed at the transformation after 9pm. The whole place became so atmospheric with great music from a very professional DJ. and great people behind the bar. Could not believeit was free. This is without doubt the best venue in town for all ages who love Soul. The theme Soul Fever at Viva is a brilliant idea!

User

Visited on 27th march early afternoon only a few people in. Love the decor plus the waitress was very nice and helpful. Foid was nice.

Only down side did not know what to listen too as tv at bar end which incedently was completly empty, was trying to out do the music at our food end we just did not know what to listen too.

Can i suggest if bar end is empty of people to leave the music on mute ? its just far to much noise.

Then went into round room for show its was fab great evening. We will be back.

User

Lovely food, great relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. It's NOT a fast food place, it's a restaurant where your food is freshly cooked to order and first class.

User

Had a fab time last night at dinner for my hen do!!! Food was fit, service was beyond amazing, especially from Hannah with the purple bow, who literally did everything she could to make our night brilliant. Thankyou so much after a trail of bad luck you really made our trip to Blackpool worth it we will definitely be back and recommend you x

User

A group of us visited the diner last week before going to see a show, service was excellent and the food was top notch. Order a chicken burger as it comes with awesome Peppered chicken gravy!!!

User

Place had a brilliant decor and atmosphere for which food took 50 mins to arrive but was expected as it was Saturday evening. Our server was Kaja and was very pleasant when we spoke with her but had to ask a few times to be served but I completely understand she was busy dealing with other customers. Just one suggestion please can we have mac and cheese in a adult portion as my partner wanted mac and cheese but you only had it on your kids menu. shall hopefully visit again soon!

Visited here on Saturday 21st of April, around 7:30pm. With my mum, dad and boyfriend. We got a seat no bother. Firstly, we ordered drinks but one of the drinks we ordered was wrong, however it was still drunk. Secondly, our food order had be placed and we got our starters which were fabulous. However, we were waiting on our mains and a waiter came over to the table and asked “would you like the desert menu or the bill” when we didn’t even have our mains yet, then the waiter asked if we had even order which we did we order our starters and the main courses at the same time and when we asked how long it would be he just started laughing,we waited a good 45 mins to an hour on our main courses. Thirdly, the amount of workers that looked busy but were actually doing nothing, when the could have been doing something was shocking. There was only 3 workers that actually had a clue what they were doing in my opinion. It wasn’t to busy for the amount of staff that were on. Overall, the food was really good, however waiting times for the food and the service was diabolical.

User

Very slow service and had to wait ages for a staff member to come and take our order. We went up several times asking for a member of staff to come and take our order. The food was nice when we finally got it..

User

Attended the Rock and Roll New Year Eve Party well it wasnt Rock and Roll.

Staff was friendly not dressed up in any way to the theme of the diner.

Food platter was nice but wasn’t told what it was on there and there was spicy food which we don’t eat so had to leave some of it. The food was advertised up to 10pm but the waitress told us had to order by 9 she asked us a fews times when did we want it.

The DJ played some songs twice. Hardly any rock and roll. The singer was just a guy he was good and sang rock and roll. But wasn’t on for long enough. no extra guests as advertised was looking forward to the band which i haven’t seen yet there. No roller skating singing waitresses as advertised either.

There was a lot of children which we didn’t mind but they were running around like crazy with food and drinks being served its a danger.

Very disappointed as it wasn’t a las vegas rock and roll party at all.

We left before midnight so didn’t see the new year in out which was the whole point. We wasn’t the only people that left before midnight either we tried to stick it out but it was so cold in there as well. I did tell the waitress but she didn’t care told my mum to run around like she is! My mum who is 76 years old had to sit in her coat. For £30 a ticket we wont be going again we should of got a ticket for the show up stairs at viva.

User

Sat 14th July. Sat outside with family. Staff looked miserable when they did manage to come outside. Counted 5 tables up and left during our seating as no one attended them. Ordered just main courses, took 40 mins for food to arrive with no apologies, not good when you've children getting very bored! Wasn't busy outside due to people kept leaving. Kids meals ok, we ordered the Elvis burger. Was very dry and not sure whether it had cheese sauce on it or not as having never been before. Had a bit of cheese on, sauce may have made it less dry. As we had to wait so long and were hungry we just got on with it not wanting to wait even longer. Raised issue with a waitress who was more approachable than the others, she did apologise and offered free drinks or deserts. As we were running late now we couldn't take this offer up. Very disappointed as this place is quite expensive so we were really looking forward to visiting. We are residents and not sure if we'd chance another visit.

User

Food wasn't the best. It was OK but the green stuff literally covering all of our plates was horrible and I left a fair bit. Not very accomodating when it comes to splitting a bill either with group bookings. Don't think I'd bother again which is a shame as the concept of the 50s diner is fun

User

Average food. Very poor choice for vegetarians with the only main meal option being a slice of halloumi and a mushroom on a bread roll. Service painfully slow, took nearly an hour to get food and the place was empty.

They did try and make it right by discounting the bill to be fair to them but food was poor and all came out at different times. Shame as went when it first opened and loved it but has gone massively downhill.

User

Wasn’t busy today when we went approaching lunch. We had to wait 5 minutes as no clean tables. Got our drinks order wrong, then two people got their food order and we had to wait a further 15 minutes for the rest (party of 7) even then two meals where missing and some wrong so had to swap food around and wait again. No cutlery given / no sauces so had to ask twice for these. The table next to us got the wrong drinks and One large table walked out and didn’t order. The meat eaters loved the food. Not so much for us veggies.

User

Over cooked burnt food, more parsley than actually food on my plate! Music so loud couldn’t even hear the waitress take our order. Do not recommend!

User

I really want you to succeed, however I had an appalling experience last Saturday with my family hoping to treat them to an all American breakfast.

As owners you seem to have employed vetu young staff in the kitchen and front of house who don't have a clue. You need to take more pride and care and train your staff rather than leaving them clueless amongst a lot of unhappy guests.

I watched 3 family's walk out at least one without paying. We thought of doing the same.

You had no coffee, you'd run out of pancakes, no rashers of bacon, powdered scrambled egg, stale waffles.

The fresh cherry and waffles arrived with 2 cherries and jam spread over the plate.

For just short of £40 I'm expecting freshly made waffles and pancakes with good quality coffee, bacon rashers and free range cooked eggs.

It can be done. Also don't advertise a 7 day breakfast menu from 9.30am that is only served Saturdays from 11am. Very confusing.

Please improve so we can come again.

Keith Faulkner.

User

Awful just awful, the meatballs were dry, the meatloaf was dry. The veg was tasteless and the carrots were hard to cut and chew. The singer was unbelievably loud and interrupted what was a quiet meal. Avoid at all costs. Also some people on here are reviewing as five star when they have seen the viva show not the diner. So false rating. Will never go again awful food took ages to come too.

User

Appalled. Almost had to take the iPad and make my own order as the waitress hadn't a clue. Couldn't order a portion of beans even though they have beans on the menu. Then we ordered vegan chilli, I lost count at how many times both waitresses and ourselves said vegan to make sure...got our meals and one had lumps of meat in it. When we said that we didn't order meat version they basically called us liars by saying we didn't. Sat for a bit waiting for a replacement and another waitress came and asked if we wanted a replacement. Waited for ages for milkshakes and when we tried to order another drink I was told that she didn't know how to do that. I left with a headache over trying to sort out the orders. Poor poor service and wouldn't go back nor recommend it.

User

Absolutely disgusting, service was poor and food was burnt when it came to the table and the staff had the cheek to blame the buttermilk on the chicken... awful service from the staff they don’t even have the manners to ask you was everything ok but I know why they didn’t ask us that because they knew the food was below standard for the price of it... the hygiene of the tables was disgusting aswell as my aint got her white top destroyed with red sauce which none of us had!!!!! Shocking place to eat never again
