Went today to try the new menu what can I say perfect. Best pint I have had in a while has gone miles better since it has been taken over

Went to celebrate fathers day six of us food was fantastic we go often and would reccamend it to everyone compliments to the chef and staff

We went last night for a meal as a family of 5 adults the service was a little slow as it was towards the end of service but was well worth the wait one of the best meals we have in a while in a pub. The potions were large and very well cooked and great presentation would recommend to people. The sharing platters for a starter were amazing and there was plenty to share and well worth the money. The pub got very busy while the quiz was on and will go again for the quiz as it was a good atmosphere. .

Returned to the welly had a gorgeous meal made by lisa ....i had chicken my partner had mixed grill cooked perfect no faults at all ...made up thank you

Kym and her team helped host my partners Surprise party, Kym could not be more accommodating and helpful. Nothing was to much trouble on the day for her or any of the staff for that matter even though it was all run concurrent with the England world cup Quarter final. I drink and eat frequently in the Welly and can say it's in my opinion the best pub in widnes. Food is amazing, staff are friendly and the music is also great. Live music at times too!

Went for lunch Sunday was seated by loud playing music speaker and loud football on big screen . couldn't hear ourselves think yet alone talk.service was slow.portions small.even ran out of vanilla ice cream. Not that impressed wouldn't recommend it.

Not been the Welly for ages, was not impressed, music too loud, no atmosphere!! Just gangs of lads being dead noisy, if they want to make money cater for the over 50's who just want a nice night out to eat and chat, we will happily stay all night, for most young ones its a meeting place to go on to somewhere else. Plus drinks are pricey! Cost us £9.25 for our round £5.90 in Wetherspoons, no contest

very disappointed whatever has happened food was awful always ate in this pub but last couple of times I feel I have just thrown good money away Sorry but will not be returning

The moody barmaid ruined my mood she needs to smile more ffs couldn't even get the order right

Ordered ie steak medium rare chunky chips peas half beef tom and onion rings beerbattered got steak just ok apart from being grissely no onion rings chips were thin french fries that was ok except bitting into them discovered covered in salt now i like salt and i put lots on but it was agood job i tasted before putting any on because they were really salty it did not say pre seasoned hence 1* staff ok service ok won't be back
