What a fabulous weekend treated as royalty. A really great time if only it was every weekend.
Utterly brilliant! A real home from home .
Paula creates a wonderfully warm and friendly atmosphere at Westcliffe with her kindness and good humour, as well as that of her lovely family. The welcome and service are excellent, and the food delicious, even for an allergy sufferer like myself. The house is also lovely, featuring carefully preserved and enhanced Art Nouveau features and cosy furnishings.
All knitters will love the Westcliffe knitting shop (in the sun lounge), selling a great range of unique and hard-to-find items, with a particular focus on British products and traditions, and vintage styles.
Most relaxing place ever. Can't wait for my next visit and wish I lived nearer!
Lovely place, lovely staff, lovely guests. Recommend to those who like all things knitty & woolly! Opportunities to knit & natter as well as learn new skills.
It's a shame that I can't give a higher star rating than 5 stars... my weekend at Westcliffe was absolutely fantastic - the hotel is easy to find, really comfortable and Paula, Simon and Ruth are exceptionally helpful - NOTHING is too much trouble for them!
The knitting experience was fabulous - I have learned to design a gansey and am now busy knitting it up.
Paula's cooking is great, and we were all fed very well.
All in all, it was a fabulous experience and I can't wait to return again in the near future. :)
I spent a wonderful weekend at this Mecca for Knitters. Paula was a perfect hostess for our group of West Yorkshire knitters. The food was delicious, the rooms were great, and the shop was stocked with lots of lovely yarn and accessories, some of which departed with me!
I really enjoyed my recent Westcliffe Knitting Holiday.
Paula and her family are friendly and welcoming, her lovely home warm and inviting. The meals were nutritious, tasty and satisfying. It was a wonderful opportunity to sit around with lovely ladies to knit and natter.
Throughout Paula's home was a great selection of British yarns, books and patterns all available at very reasonable prices.
A great way to relax, knit and unwind. Thank you Paula.
I have had the best time ever at this wonderful hotel- I would recommend it to any happy knitters out there - you won't be disappointed - you'll be treated like a princess!
