Whiteside Taxis Description
The company was founded by Thomas Whiteside in 1880 and is the oldest taxi company in England. The story goes that he won a horse’s harness in a raffle. He then borrowed a horse and cart from his uncle and started a haulage business and as the saying goes, the rest is history…
Since those humble beginnings Whiteside Taxis has grown, and is the largest taxi company in the Fylde with our new purpose built offices situated in the heart of St. Annes.

Well, I'm happy to call a spade a spade and admit when I'm wrong. I made a post here, with 3 Stars (which I've just deleted to replace with this one).
I booked a taxi for an airport transfer (going to Vietnam on business) and the whole affair was almost very disastrous, as I'm going to be needing airport transfers more and more (and for my family too) I am always on the look out for fairly priced but above all else - a reliable company.
After the situation briefly mentioned above the owner (Daniel) contacted me and asked for the opportunity to put things right... big thumbs up there, you didn't need to, I'm just another punter right? well, obviously not - Thank You, for caring, thank you for putting things right, thank you for excellent service (the second AND the third time and I'm confident all future times too).

Stumbled across their app earlier in the year and thought would give a try when in Blackpool recently. I can say it all worked like clockwork! Excellent service, courteous drivers and would certainly recommend. We will certainly be using next time when in town ��
My friend and I like to visit Lytham at least once a week from our holiday home in Warton. Last year my friend was breathalysed in a spot check area in the morning following our night out for a meal and a bottle of wine each, which is a weekly offer at our favourite restaurant. This taught us both a lesson not to to drink anything if we intend to drive within the next 12 hours. Because of this we have now found Whitesides Taxis. We can now go out enjoy ourselves with no worries. Whitesides are so professional. Download their app as I have and experience trouble free travel. Keep up the good work guys, and don’t change a thing. You’ve got it right.

I’m one if the Welfare Officers at Just Good Friends. A local charity that combats loneliness and isolation. Every week at our groups our members often ask if we can phone a taxi for them. Whiteside’s always turn up promptly and assist with the care of our members. Nothing seems to be too much trouble having a laugh and joke with them. the drivers are always polite and courteous with everyone. Thanks Whitesides �
I would just like to say Thank you to a Whiteside taxi driver today who realised a passenger had paid too much money and handed it in . I telephoned the office on behalf of the gentleman concerned as he was very old and upset that he wouldn't be able to return as he didn't have enough money. Thank you to everyone for your help the gentleman got home safe and sound.
I use Whitesides regularly and each time have had excellent service with competitive prices. I've called for taxis at all hours especially when needed in be in work for 4am but each time the taxi has been prompt and timely. All the drivers are well mannered, polite and professional. Some drivers in particular have a good rapor with customers especially if they have picked that customer up before. I always have and always will choose Whitesides as my taxi as choice ��
I use Whitesides every week mainly for business travel to and from Preston station. The service is extremely reliable, the drivers are helpful and friendly and the cars are clean. If I ever need to call the office, nothing is too much trouble.
I had 5 minutes until my train and the taxi driver did his best to get me there on time, I didn’t miss my train. Taxis are always there immediately after ordering and have fantastic fare rates.
I don't drive so I use Whitesides a lot ... myself and my 10 year old daughter have never had a problem with either the phone staff or taxi drivers ... they are always kind and caring and ask us to buckle up our belts (safety first) ... We would be lost without you guy's and girls especially school runs and big food shops ... thankyou for your service , Karen and Grace xxx
I booked an early morning taxi to Manchester airport. The taxi was on time, clean and spacious (we had alot of baggage). The driver was very chatty and helped me with my bags as I was travelling alone with two young children. We will be certain to continue to book Whitesides in the future.
I booked 3 journeys with Whitesides to take 5 of us to Manchester airport and pick us backup in 2 different groups on 2 different dates. their impressive use of new technologies ie ease of online booking, driver tracking and SMS messages meant we knew exactly where and when we would be collected removing the worries associated with whether the taxi would arrive on time or not. The costs were also lower than our normal Manchester taxi run. Good job Whitesides !
Great service, always prompt, always on time, fast and reliable. Plus, they have some of the best drivers in the buisness, had some uncomfortable conversations with some of the best drivers in the business, and they always put up with all of my drunken stories, and a special shout out to Craig, who's been like a beat mate of mine, nd taken me under his wings, and spoke to me about everything under the sun when we're in a taxi, thank you Craig, for the drunken lifts home you gave me! I appreciate them all pal, even though I've probably chewed your ear off pal, I still do appreciate it. And me and me .ages do as well, that is you,
Got a taxi when i was having car trouble and my driver was David in a BMW. He was lovely, professional, chatty and while he was taking me to work he had a call saying a lady wants him specifically for a job coming up as she liked him so much. In my job i served a lot of Whiteside drivers and they're all lovely.
Fantastic service. Every operator I’ve ever spoken to is friendly and well mannered! I’ve never once had too wait longer than the time the operator specified.
Every taxi driver I’ve had has been friendly and talkative, and that’s why I always tip every driver! Manners go a long way and cost nothing. That’s why I always use Whiteside’s! Top notch service every single time!
During a trip from Scotland we used this company twice on Saturday 21st April 2018 in the Lytham and Fairhaven areas. Both times the cars turned up promptly, the drivers were courteous and well turned out, the cars were extremely clean and the service was second to none. Very, very impressive.
Always prompt, and the drivers are always chatty and polite. Never had a problem with them and never will, exactly what you want when you need a cab home late after work or after being out; consistent, safe and excellent service. Definitely recommend to all your friends!
After missing the last bus, we phoned Whiteside, who came to rescue all 6 of us within a couple of minutes.
Reasonably priced, enjoyable journey all the way back to Preston with a very friendly driver.
Cannot recommend them enough!... Many thanks!
Would like to re review and explain why, initial review was not favourable due to issue, however after dealing with Neil in the office a favourable outcome has resolved the issue and has not put me off using this company. I have every praise for the the way Neil dealt with the issue in a timely professional manner. His whole attitude when dealing with me was superb. Many thanks
