What is it ? The fuel systems in Scania vehicles today are highly precise and advanced technological instruments. So fine are the tolerances involved, that cleanliness is essential during the entire maintenance procedure - for example, a foreign body the width of a human hair is sufficient to block an injector nozzle.
... How does it impact me ? Any failure to adopt the highest standards of cleanliness while working with the latest generation fuel systems could result in contamination which may cause a breakdown further down the line. Maintaining the fuel system is a task very much best left to the experts.

We are very honoured and proud to announce Haydock Commercials has won Scania DDA (Dealer Development Awards)
We also had the pleasure of being interviewed by Chris from Commercial Motor which included an interview with the Chairman and Director as well as an interview with our Sales Director, Craig and Sales Exec, Thomas for a 'From the Forecourt' special, which will be in an edition of Commercial Motor shortly.
The Scania dealership, which has five sites across the north-we...st of England and in the north Wales, has been recognised as the top performer in the annual Dealer Development Agreement (DDA) that the Swedish manufacturer sets its network.
The DDA covers thing such as improving customer satisfaction index rating, contacts with customers, training etc, there are 12 objectives in all. The dealers' performance is measured and monitored by Scania Group throughout the year.
There is a lot of kudos in coming out as the top performer and Operations Director, Mark Robertson is rightly proud, not just of this years achievement but of the way Haydock Commercials has performed against such standards of the past decade. "You look back over the past ten years and we've won it 6 times and come second 3 times"

Modern day vehicles are equipped with a wide range of sensors which monitor everything from power-train performance to emissions levels. Should efficiency levels drop, or the vehicle exceed the parameters it is required to adhere to by law, these sensors trigger warning lights to alert the driver that maintenance is required.
If the warnings triggered by the sensors are ignored, or the required maintenance is subsequently carried our incorrectly, a torque reduction will ulti...mately be triggered, leaving the vehicle in limp-home mode.
