Wigan Growing Network is all about conservation, wildlife, food growing and everything inbetween. We run regular volunteer sessions on food growing across Wigan and Leigh. We have a few plots up for grabs at the allotments in Worsley Hall, Wigan. They are very overgrown and will need a lot of work. Please be aware that an allotment is a big time commitment, especially this time of year. If you dont have at least 6 spare hours a week then please think if you can actually take on a plot. Please contact me if you're interested
If you want to grow your own favourite variety of fruit tree then you need to know how to graft one! Come along and learn all about the hows and why of fruit tree grafting. You'll even get to take your own grafted apple tree home with you. Sessions are free but a donation is always nice...

Yet another fantastic free workshop at The community allotments , Worsley Hall, Wigan!
Free beginner bee keeping sessions! And for those not too keen on bees then come along to the craft sessions and learn how to make furniture polish, lip balms and carry out some practical work on the hives (no bees involved!)

New year New interest? Why not try bee keeping? Come along to our weekly sessions at Worsley Hall Wigan and learn more about bees and how to keep bees. Every Tues 11-1 and Thursday 10-2.
It was a hive of activity at Worsley Hall Community Allotments last Thursday on the... well... hive building sessions!
