User

great swim in a beautiful lake and besides the hill at 22km its a brilliant bike ride

love this event and will return year after year

User

Unbelievable support from all involved, felt so comfortable like I was amongst friends. Beautiful location. Would definitely do again!

User

This was my first full tri and only my second in total after a sprint earlier in the year.

Brilliantly organised, easy to get to and the support from spectators and especially the marshals was the best I've seen at any event.

Very hard work but was well worth it. Just need to learn to count to 5 as I appear to have done 6 laps on the run!!

See you next year as I'm already signed up.

Thank you to everyone involved.

User

This was my first Olympic distance and OW Tri - loved it! Swim was fantastic, bike route nice and well sign posted, and run well marshalled with drink station - much needed when temperature is in the late 20s! Well organised all round, friendly marshalls and xlnt communication leading up to the event - highly recommend!

User

One of my favourite events in the calendar. & they posted my wetsuit back to me when I was dumb enough to leave it behind!

See you next year!

User

I do these things 8 or 9 times a yr for over 10 yrs. This is my favourite

User

Great tri, well organised and a great course. Would recommend to everyone.

User

Great staff/marshals and support, stunning venue (despite some rough sections of road) loved every minute....honest!

User

Great reason for a holiday.

User

Great event.

Hard swim but if it was easy, everyone would be doing it. Didn't bother me that it was longer: it was the same distance for everyone taking part.

Fabulous bike ride.

Support staff and marshals were first class. One marshal in particular on the run, the best I've ever come across.

Thank you.

User

Great event with a challenging course, very well marshalled and super smooth organisation. Thumbs up!

User

First time at this tri this year, and a great experience. Yes, the swim was longer (1900m vs 1500m advertised) but I can't complain about getting more time to swim in Windermere (which was awesome). I gather this is sorted for next year, anyway. Only main issue I had was getting out of the swim, where I kicked a couple of big rocks as it seems I'd come out too far down - a better marked exit funnel would help there, if possible?

The bike route was spot on, apart from the temp lights - as others have said would have been good to have that time deducted from the total if possible. A lovely scenic route and enough lumps to keep it lively!

The run was fine - marshalls and support were just great. Massive thanks to everyone involved.

Already signed up for next year and looking forward to it!

Been looking forward to this event since last year as I entered last year but had to drop out due to injury. Transition was nicely set up and plenty of space per athlete. Race brief alot of people were left feeling a little unclear on the swim and when I questioned this it felt the fella who I'm sure is a very nice guy seemed a little put out by my question, but there was a fair few people who expressed the same concern and needed that little bit of clarification. The swim was longer than expected, which normally I wouldn't mind but it was a very chilly swim so the extra was hard work, this extra distance was noticed by a fair few of us ,so it maybe worth extending the swim on sign up if that route is staying for next year or maybe taking out the island and doing a swim round buoys instead?!

The bike course I appreciate it's annoying for someone to sit at lights noting down traffic light times ,but every other race I've ever done if there is time lost to lights, people get the time back.

I must say thou out of alot if races I've done the course will brilliantly sign posted and at no point was I left wondering if I was on the right route on the bike and your stewards were really good, such great friendly people ,super supportive and made the event enjoyable!

Still waiting for my refund for the last minute cancelled race of 2013. Now being ignored via email and phone!!!
