Mixed fortunes for our rugby boys today! The First XV lost 16-27 to Woodhouse Grove in the Quarter Final of the Schools Cup. The Bradford School took their chances well in a very physical game played in difficult conditions, but our boys were very impressive in defeat and never gave up. A very courageous performance! Congratulations to Woodhouse Grove and Good Luck in the Semi Final! Our U15s, however, had a superb 29-0 victory at Stonyhurst in Round 3 of the Plate. A fantastic result in appalling conditions! National Schools Cup rugby latest....
The First XV were 12-9 victors at Wilmslow HS this afternoon in Round 4 of the National Schools Cup. A try from Tom Roebuck converted by Jack Purnell saw us turn round 7-6 up. Wilmslow kicked a third penalty with 8 mins left to make it 9-7 - but Jacob Ainscough went over with 2 mins remaining to secure a deserved victory. Great performance!

My disabled son goes there now. They care for him and the other boys in a way that impresses me. They are making the generation we will retire into. They will plan cities, design and innovate. They will make the Next Prime Minister with the help of PTA and the most daring yet Kind hearted Boy.

I'm from the class of Barber 1964. We had a lot of Joneses AA., AD , CR .......

Wirral GS taught me how to survive my first day when I didn't know a soul. Learn Latin French and Russian

Become a sportsman and learn the values of a team

Put the female sex on a pedestal as they were out of reach in the school next door

Class of 2007 - Wilson Dodds. Good memories, especially when we played footy on the field in the summer hoping the 30min overlap with the girls lunch break would be enough to show off my silky skills. It wasn't. And I didn't have any silky skills.
