Went with my partner to visit the First Emperors Terracotta Warriors and have to say they were fantastic, it was very interesting reading up on not just the warriors but the dynasties and how China was formed.

Well worth the money and time to see a part of history that was written some 4500 years ago.

User

Went to see the terracotta Warriors. The exhibition was really good, it was well organised with plenty of staff to help with any questions or concerns. I am disabled and was well looked after. Definitely recommend for all ages.

User

We visited the Terracotta Warriors exhibition yesterday with 4 generations of my family, including elderly grandparents using a wheelchair and children aged 6 and 9 years old. It was quite busy with it being the school holidays but wheelchair access was great and easy enough for our first venture out with it! The Terracotta Warriors exhibition was fantastic and we were all blown away with the amazing artefacts on display. My Grandfather was especially proud to see the exhibition being 1st generation of the Liverpool Chinese community and was so happy to have the opportunity to see this amazing and special exhibition in his home city at the age of 89! My children were particularly engaged with the red information plaques that explained artefacts in simplified language and they were kept engaged by trying to answer the questions within each of these plaques. A big congratulations to The World Museum for a wonderful exhibition.

We also stayed on and visited the rest of the museum which was great with really helpful and friendly staff.

User

We visited for the first time on Tuesday to see the warriors. We didn't have enough time to see all of the museum properly, but it looks fabulous and it has been on our (very long) Liverpool to do list for a while. The exhibition of the warriors is excellent & we would like to come back to see it again; but I think the museum itself is going to take many return trips to see it all ! :)

User

Visited for the day from Birmingham to see the Terracotta Warriors and can't recommend it highly enough! The exhibition was fabulous, although very popular the entry times are managed really well, giving you time and space to view the exhibits properly. All of the staff were very friendly and helpful, and the cafe was lovely too. We didn't have time to go in the rest of the museum but are planning a return trip!

User

The display was wonderful and so interesting. The staff were really friendly and that's what made it special - they even found our hotel card that we didn't realise we'd lost and gave it back to us. We had a fantastic time and although we are a smidge disappointed that we came too early to see the golden horse, we can't really complain. To be so close to the displays and have taken so many photos without anyone in the picture is incredible.

User

My partner and myself were at the museum yesterday, with other visitors on a coach trip from the East Midlands. I have to say, we were very impressed, with the Terracotta Warriors exhibition, and also all the other exhibits, too. The museum staff were very helpful. In the future, we are hoping to pay another visit. Even a couple of members of my family are hoping to get tickets for the T W exhibition. Thanks to one and all for making our visit enjoyable.

User

Loved the museum . The terrace exhibition was absolutely mind blowing . Brilliant and helpful staff .I used my wheelchair for the first time and found access to all points was easy . My only bone of contention is with the cafe . The menu stated that chips were available from 11.00 Not so . We were told that they were not on sale till 11.30 . Also on being asked for help on certain things the lady behind the counter was very unhelpful . Having settled on a sausage sandwich the tea cake was very dry .

User

Had tried to book for the Terracotta Warriors as we were coming down for a holiday. On the bus tour the guide said they were hard to get went to the museum and wow got tickets. The exhibition is amazing you are giving so much information for each display. The fact that they are still coming across these amazing artefacts so we the public can learn more. Also the Egyptian display is well worth the visit. If you are going to Liverpool this should be on your list to visit. The staff are also a credit to the museum.

User

Had an amazing visit to the Terracotta Warriors exhibition. Learned so much, the information was broken down into manageable sections, great use of technology and film, wonderfully informative. Also - massive thanks to whoever handed my phone in when I left it in the toilet, and to the lovely staff who retrieved it for my very panicked and distraught self several hours later just as they were closing up. Nothing was too much trouble and I am truly grateful. 100% recommend, will return to see the rest of the museum on my next trip to Liverpool.

User

Exhibition was good .. Worth every penny ... Staff lovely .... Only complaint was people who were very capable of using the stairs chose to use the lifts ... My mother uses a walker ... And had to wait quite awhile for the lift ... Me and my husband waited with her .. And once she was in the lift we used the stairs ! ....

User

We had a brilliant family day out, my son and us loved all the rooms. Unfortunately we were very disappointed about the terracotta warriors been sold out even tho we got there early, some warning on your Web page about this would of been useful so we could of pre booked. The cafe was nice food was ok, but you need either more tills or a fast track lane stud in a queue for half an hr to pay for some sandwiches is reduculous.

User

Throughly enjoyed my visit to see the Terracotta Warriors. So nice for a museum outside of London to get such a prestigious exhibit. Beautifully laid out and utterly mesmerising. Probably not overly engaging for younger children who may not be wowed in the same way as an adult, but my 10yr old seemed to enjoy it, as did my Mum!!

Rest of the museum was interesting, especially the Egyptian section, which was on a par with Oxford’s Ashmolean and the British Museum!

User

Loved the warriors, but aquarium was disappointing. I found a handbag on the Egyptian floor and had to take it down to the next floor to find an attendant to hand it to. No staff at all on that floor. Bit of a health and safety risk. And was worried someone would think I was stealing it !!

User

I love our City's Musuems. As a mum of three children ranging in age from 15 to 5 years old I've spent a lot of time in the World Musuem over the years, especially in the school holidays and at weekends. We enjoyed our visit yesterday to see the Terracotta Warriors. It's an excellent exhibition with an impressive amount of artefacts to see, and information to read. It's just so sad, though, that it's as expensive as £14.50 per adult, and £5.50 per child, to have the amazing opportunity to see these tremendously important wonders of the World. What a coup for Liverpool, but what a shame that not everybody will be able to get to see them.

User

I enjoyed the Terracotta Warriors exhibition very much.

My friends and I took a tour of the rest of the museum. Unfortunately, we found quite a lot of the other things on show such as the jungle area seemed quite outdated and needs a revamp. I was hoping to see more in the aquarium but, again, there wasn’t a lot to see. I did like the Egyptian room and the Space room. There was more here to read and look at. Of course in order to revamp and update areas in the museum requires funding. The Terracotta Warriors was definitely the highlight for me. If the museum can secure more exhibitions such as this more money can go back into the place.

User

The museum is a fantastic asset to a great city that I am proud to live near and have worked in for many years. Great exhibitions , interactive staff but let down by filthy toilets . Blocked toilets, no toilet roll,no hand wash ...... and not just the ground floor set by the cafe. Look after the detail - you are not short of visitors so treat them to clean serviceable toilets not a great ask!

The cafe was also not clean, dirty tables, food on the floor and the cake station looked as if there had been a party. We experienced the toilets saw the state of the cafe and went elsewhere to eat. And just in case you are wondering it was a Monday so no lame weekend excuses please.

User

I visited the museum yesterday with my son and daughter. I must say it was a disaster to get around with a pram. Many people use the lifts when they could walk up and down the stairs to free the lifts for wheelchairs and prams. We waited over 10 minutes every time the lift door opened it was full of people who looked like they could easily use the stairs. The cafe downstairs was also a let down - I needed to warm up my daughters milk but there was no microwave available and there was a sign saying the queu was 20 minutes wait. This was a weekday too. Overall exhibitions were good but I wouldn’t come with a pram again!

User

The terracotta warriors are fantastic but the overall experience extremely disappointed. Having travelled from

Malta specifically to visit this exhibit I was left very disappointed we were rushed through in a 30 minute time gap if anyone loitered to appreciate the warriors they were instructed to "push up and keep moving". Absolutely no time to appreciate the incredible sculptures and no chance of reading the descriptions around the exhibits. What should have been an enjoyable memorable experience totally ruined by poor organization
