Good Morning Peeps! Well, surprisingly after the rain this week, its a very nice morning so far and its so wonderful to be able to walk the access paths around the lakes and not get s**t up to the eyeballs lol - which is especially important when you are walking 7 dogs! 😂😂
Below are some pics from this week, a cracking 18lb pike from S1 and a 'banging bin lid' of a bream from River lake. The winter fishing seems to be waking up now and please remember all our lakes are availa...ble for private hire / matches - for further information please in-box us or call 01524 792093. This week we look forward to welcoming the National fire service lads here on S1 & S2 for their annual pike competition and presentation, so we will post some pictures during / after the event on Wednesday :)

Well its a bit dismal out there but here's something to cheer you up - the 2019 entertainment schedule! We have all sorts happening next year, including new themes such as the gin and beer fest, Mod & ska night, Tribute nights, dog shows and even car boots!
After our Xmas and New Year (poster attached) entertainment, we will have a DJ on every Saturday and don't forget our GENTS NIGHT on 26th January- with renowned comedi...an LESTER CRABTREE (not for the easily offended 😂) and on February the 23rd our LADIES NIGHT with a fabulous Drag DJ - Miss Tucker and adult entertainment ;)

These fish will all be graded and only the strongest will be selected for our main carp waters. We will be draining our other stock pond some time early next year.

These were some of the carp that have been grown on over the last 12 months in the stock pond - they were put into Fox's lake this afternoon. They increased in weight by an amazing 2-6lbs! A really incredible result in that time. The fish that are arriving over the next couple of weeks will be going into S1, S2 and Wyre lakes.

*ATTENTION ALL ANGLERS - RECENT CATCH REPORT* Well the mild spell is on its way in, and sunnyside 1 is the first to respond, with Tyler Duffy leading the way, fishing in peg 4 with sticky baits krill, landing a 24,22,20 and an 18. And today, Callum finished work at 1 and is currently down on sunny 1 for a quick afternoon, within quick succession he has landed 1 and lost 1 fishing a small solid bag with one yellow fake grain of corn, 2 hours to go let’s see what happens, we will keep you posted 🤞🏻🤞🏻

Good evening peeps - its a chilly one out there - just been round site last thing to see what the lads had been up to today - wow they really do work hard, come rain and shine - today they took on S2 roadway and the roadside swims on S2 and River Lakes - great job chaps! They will start work on roadside S1 when the ground has dried out a bit - more drains going in 😱
So, now for news on the fishy front - we are not sure of exact days yet but the 20 new fish for S2 will be arriving next week (up to 17lbs) and the 20 new fish for Wyre lake (upto 28lbs) will be arriving the week after! We have also got some great news to come (just awaiting final confirmation) - the future is looking very B R I G H T!

Good evening Wyresiders - I'm back - did you miss me lol! After leaving FB in the very capable hands of Callum and Micheala I thought I'd pop up this evening and say hello!
I've had my head in the computer all day today and wow have we got some exiting news coming up for you guys this winter season- my head is about to explode!
... Not only have we completed the new pitches and electric in the top field, we are also in the process of putting some toilets and washing areas up there as well. The lads have been busy again this week, tidying up the hedge rows, trimming, planting and there are also some new grey waste drop points being put in around the park too - you can see these highlighted by signage and on the new brochures. Just wanted to also say a big thank you to many of our members who are planting some beautiful color on their pitches, purples, lilacs are all great for attracting bees, butterfly's and other insects which is so important for pollination and the pitches look very well cared for - so THANK YOU!
On the fishing front, we also have the BOGOF offer coming back this winter, some new fish stock arriving very soon for all lakes (5th year running now but more about that later) and we also have some very special news on 'the fishy front' which will be announced next week - fingers crossed x
I've just finished the entertainment schedule for next season - it is action packed and when the artists are confirmed this weekend that will be posted next week too - don't forget tho, tickets are now on sale for the Mens and Ladies evenings next January and February - please lets get these events up and running, they will be fabulous evenings and will give us something great to look forward to after Christmas!

UPDATE ON TOP FIELD.
The top field is all done thanks to the outside lads who have done a brilliant job in completing it so quickly.... The pitches are now back available to book on the website - we have also installed electric pitches for tents in the upper field (overlooking Foxs lake). We still have 3 electric pitches left for this weekend's annual Halloween Fancy Dress Party - it's a great party and atmosphere and the decorations are up and ready, the Kids goodie bags are made and the fire will be lit! The Small Pod is also still available for this weekend.

ATTENTION ALL ANGLERS Latest Catch Report The week started with a bang. With storm Callum brewing, the fish had a massive pre-storm munch. Sunny 1 was the one to be on this week with a whopping 28 fish landed including no less than 10 x 20lb plus fish to 29lb. Leading the way by a country mile was winter member Mark Capstick having an awesome 48hours in peg 7. He landed 8 fish including 3 x 20lb plus - to 22lb 8oz. WINTER IS UPON US!
This wont stop us here at Wyreside Lakes! With bobs roaring open fire and lake views that will make your heart melt - Here are some updates on the caravan pitches that the outside lads have been working very hard on. They are coming together very nicely, with the weather not being all that great it hasn't stopped them from getting these pitches looking beautiful. There is still more to be done - Monday the top stone will be added to the pitches. Tuesday the...y will be making progress on the electric tent pitches. Although our online booking system is closed atm while the renovations are veing completed, you can still call us at reception on 01524 792093 to book directly.
Still lots of entertainment to look forward to - Our annual Halloween fancy dress party on Saturday the 27th October with DJ Eddie and our end of season party on the 17th November with the incomparable Jason Oliver! Entertainment every Saturday with our resident DJ and a Fabulous New Year Package - Loads to look forward to this winter. Would like to thank Sally and the amazing team at Wyreside Lakes Fishery myself and Shaun who is in a wheelchair have been amazing and nothing is too much trouble for them, Bob is great man and there are one or two characters which makes the stay here so enjoyable.

The disabled facilities on site are very good and the function room is accessible by two steps my husband relays on his wheelchair currently but the staff offered to put a ramp in place in order for us to access this room but Shaun has always preferred to be in the bar. Shaun suffered a catastrophic stroke in March 2017 which took most of his sight his ability to walk and made him quite nervous around different people etc....but prior to this Shaun was a very good coarse fisherman and is looking forward to the day he can get back enjoying this activity. So folks reading this of you want somewhere nice to stay that's friendly ,clean and the staff go that extra mile then this is the place to stay would I come back ABSOLUTELY!!!

Thank you all and will be sad to leave tomorrow we have already spoke about a permanent pitch if one comes available.

This was our 1st visit to wyreside. Had 2 nights camping. Definitely won't be our last. All staff very friendly and helpful. Bar/food lovely. Everywhere clean. Kids loved it. Can't wait to book again .

So helpful! Took my little lad to fish first time, brilliant help and lent me some essentials I forgot! 5 perch caught in two hours on worm, couldn’t get maggots 😞 son can’t wait to go again. Success 😊

My 2nd trip here. Had 3 nice fish finished 2nd in a match. The lakes are faultless. The atmoshere all around the lakes are fantastic. The staff do a great job. We can not wait yp go back. What a goof weekend we have had

Lovely fishery and great place to go and relax, very quiet and lovely people to get on with all friendly. Food delivery to your lake is fantastic and also I ordered breakfast for me and my partner, the food was very nice will definitely be coming more fishing ����

The staff are very friendly and helpful, the facilities are clean, the shop is well stocked and the bar serves excellent food at very reasonable prices. Bob is an absolute star and i would highly recommend this place.

Just back from a weekend in one of the pods which we won in a competition through Caravanners are us. Sally was really helpful from the start as the comp was only for 2 people for 2 nights but when I explained about my son having anxiety problems she gave us the family pod instead! When we arrived everyone was really friendly and helpful. The pub is lovely and although you can tell everyone knows one another you dont feel out of place as everyone is very friendly. I read a few reviews befor we went and I must say a few were quite worrying but I personally cant understand why people would be so horrible. The toilets near the pods were cold as there was no heating but they were kept extremelly clean an to be fair its camping! Yes its muddy but there are works being carried out as u can clearly see. I for one will definetly be returning with our caravan. Thankyou to Sally Bob and the rest of the gang we had a fab time and you were all very helpful and extremely friendly.

Having recently travelled from the Isle of Wight too visit family for a week I couldn’t resist a google search too find a nearby fishery. It’s been that good at Wyreside I’ve been 3 times now and hopefully going again Saturday before I travel home. Yes it’s cold due too the time of the year but it’s well worth a go. Fantastic facilities, toilets are spotless and the staff have been extremely helpful that go out of there way too help you. When I return in the summer i will definitely be booking up too stay on site and have ago at night fishing. Thankyou again too all at Wyreside, see you Saturday ��

Had a great 24hr session on the river lake with my two sons we caught lots of roach a young barbel a fantastic 8lb tench and 11 carp both common and mirror to 12lb. Had a brilliant breakfast brought to the bivvy- will definitely be going back - helpful staff too.

Great fishery service is brilliant very friendly and as always great time had and plenty caught on sunny 2 had 6 fish ranging from 12-22lb ����

First visit to River Lake today, great welcome, very efficient book in, escort to pegs by quad bike. Superb setting, excellent pegs. Sadly the weather won the day, that wind was strong and bitterly cold. Managed a carp of about 7, and my little boy had a clonking roach.(He’s 45 & 16 stone, but still qualifies as my little boy...) There’s no doubt we will be back if and when summer comes. Thanks to Sally for all the advice, and the lads on site.

First time at Wyreside and while the company made the session even better, I can say I'll be back. Clean and tidy, great access to swims, lovely place to fish. The price is great, especially considering the work that has gone into improving the site, I shall be back and with the caravan and family too.

Been a couple of times camping but my first time fishing. What an excellent set up. Lady in the shop was very helpful and arranged for an unhooking mat for me as i forgot mine at no extra cost. We were then shown to our lake by quad bike. Nice bar to have a drink in at night with friendly members and then finished off with a filling full english in the morning. Booked for next week enjoyed it that much. Recommend to anyone

Amazing place out in the middle of nowhere. Very relaxing,amazing staff and well kept grounds.



I did 2 days fishing on Sunnyside 2 for my first time here. i got told lots of useful information about the lake and free reign of where I could fish.

Only things I would improve. The pegs are gravel and nearly impossible to put your bivvy on and I didn't know if I was allowed to put it on the grass. And the road to the lakes was a bit rough. Apart from that amazing place. Deffo going again soon!

Had a great 24hr session on the river lake with my two sons we caught lots of roach a young barbel a fantastic 8lb tench and 11 carp both common and mirror to 12lb. Had a brilliant breakfast brought to the bivvy- will definitely be going back - helpful staff too.

Great fishery service is brilliant very friendly and as always great time had and plenty caught on sunny 2 had 6 fish ranging from 12-22lb ����

First visit to River Lake today, great welcome, very efficient book in, escort to pegs by quad bike. Superb setting, excellent pegs. Sadly the weather won the day, that wind was strong and bitterly cold. Managed a carp of about 7, and my little boy had a clonking roach.(He’s 45 & 16 stone, but still qualifies as my little boy...) There’s no doubt we will be back if and when summer comes. Thanks to Sally for all the advice, and the lads on site.

First time at Wyreside and while the company made the session even better, I can say I'll be back. Clean and tidy, great access to swims, lovely place to fish. The price is great, especially considering the work that has gone into improving the site, I shall be back and with the caravan and family too.

Been a couple of times camping but my first time fishing. What an excellent set up. Lady in the shop was very helpful and arranged for an unhooking mat for me as i forgot mine at no extra cost. We were then shown to our lake by quad bike. Nice bar to have a drink in at night with friendly members and then finished off with a filling full english in the morning. Booked for next week enjoyed it that much. Recommend to anyone

Amazing place out in the middle of nowhere. Very relaxing,amazing staff and well kept grounds.



I did 2 days fishing on Sunnyside 2 for my first time here. i got told lots of useful information about the lake and free reign of where I could fish.

Only things I would improve. The pegs are gravel and nearly impossible to put your bivvy on and I didn't know if I was allowed to put it on the grass. And the road to the lakes was a bit rough. Apart from that amazing place. Deffo going again soon!
