Whilst waiting to pick our daughter up from a concert at the Apollo, we decided to grab a bite to eat and ended up choosing Ziya.

The restaurant is modern, with an open kitchen and tables on two floors. It has a welcoming atmosphere as soon as you enter.

We were greeted as we entered and shown to our table on the ground floor near to the kitchen.

The restaurant wasn't overly busy but all was calm as they prepared and cooked the checks coming on. The smells were tantalising.

We ordered drinks, which were a little pricey, pint of Cobra £4.95 and a glass of coke at £2.95, then our food, main dishes were all around the £8.95 to £10.95 range.

The service was prompt and attentive, but not obtrusive and we did not wait long for our orders to be delivered to the table.



We ordered our food, which was freshly prepped and cooked and you could tell when it was served.

Portion sizes were good and the quality was excellent.



For a night out in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere, with great authentic dishes, I would have no hesitation in recommending the Ziya Restaurant and we will definitely be going back in the not too distant future.

Went there with my friends. Very clean, starters superb, very friendly staff, nothing to be rejected except that I would prefer the menu to be in bold instead of the tiny print which makes it hard to read in dim light. Had a lovely time.

Went for Indian Street food afternoon tea and it was lovely. The chef even came out to enquire how we found it. Would definitely like to return to try the rest of the menu .

Really lovely restaurant very clean and the food is gorgeous Elenour the waitress is really nice and looked after us well. We will certainly go again.

Not been to Rusholme for a curry in years and came across this place as we browsed the various restaurant frontages.

Wanted somewhere that offered more than the usual fare and I'm glad to say Ziya restaurant delivered the goods.

Some lovely dishes were served up and from the starters through they were innovative, well presented and delicious.

No one in our party of 6 was disappointed.

I had seafood dishes as this place has a great selection to choose from which was nice to see rather than just the obligatory prawn curry.

Can't say enough good things about the food at this place.

Service and staff was great as well, even though the place was full the wait for dishes and drinks was reasonable.

Would definitely eat here again :-)

In a highly competitive area such as Rusholme it is difficult to stand out from the crowd. The effort the team at Ziya has made to differentiate themselves from the rest shines through with their excellent tasty food, contemporary interior and friendly servers. My new favourite venue, I will look forwards to returning to. Thanks!

I've tried a lot of different Indian restaurants and this has to be by far the best. I'm a vegetarian but the rest of our party wasn't and we all really enjoyed the food. Fresh and tasty, we couldn't fault it. The service was really good, the waitresses knew the menu really well and were able to recommend dishes to us. We will be back very soon.

Hi, was there yesterday with my husband, didn’t really know what the expect, but it was lovely different to what we are use to made a lovely change to our Sunday afternoons x The staff are really nice too x

Had a birthday meal for my sister’s 60th, was lovely. Enjoyed the food which came quickly and was nice and hot. Customer service was brilliant and the waitress who looked after us upstairs was fantastic. Really enjoyed it 😉

Fast service, the food quality was amazing and very resonably priced and the staff couldn’t do enough for you. Would highly recommend this resteraunt.

Delicious food. Wonderful atmosphere and great service, fabulous friendly staff. Our food arrived very quickly which was fortuitous as we were going to see the Pretenders at the Apollo that evening.

Delicious and well presented food. Excellent for vegetarians. The waitress was friendly and helpful. We had mocktails which were prepared from scratch and delicious. We're really pleased with our lunch and experience, we'll definitely be going back.

Modern decor, pleasant n helpful staff. Portions are generous and the food very tasty. Service is quick n efficient. Washroom is big , clean and with modern decor. Highly recommended.

Waited 30 minutes for a table. Then waited over 90mins for are food that never even turned up!

Ended up having to walk out as it was getting late.

Even had the cheek to charge us 35p for a slice of lime.

Didn't offer us a good will gesture, just a bill.

Poor service.

Won't recommend and won't be revisiting.
