Our company director's daughter (age 4) has taken delivery of some new books ~ here are some of her favourite reads!
It is important to read your child books that they are not able to read themselves, as this helps to develop vocabulary and tone!

One of our lovely Year 4 students gave our director these today and when she asked him what they were for, his response was 'because you are the best teacher'!

We are running a school uniform collection and distribution service this summer in the Selby area. If you have any school uniforms (preferably unbranded) that you would wish to donate, please contact us. Uniform drop off and collection point will be in Hambleton, Selby.

All-Star Tutors is now a member of The Tutors’ Association, a professional organisation that represents the private tutoring industry in the UK. The Association promotes excellence in private tutoring and represents the industry in its interactions with parents, students, the public, the media, schools and government.

Just an end of year reminder as your reports start rolling in for your kids.
Sometimes they read a list of flaws and how they don't stack up to standardised testing and assessments, with a token sentence about their character. Sometimes the negatives outweigh the positives.
These reports, plans, assessments and tests do not account for the fact that your children are amazing, wonderful children in ways and things that could never be tested. They are funny little characters,... they are amazing big brothers and sisters, they are amazing scouts, gymnasts, dancers, musicians, sports people, they are loving and good friends.
These children are uniquely amazing in so, so many ways. They are that way because they are taught things that can not be tested on a standardised test. So here's to the parents/carers of wonderful kids, smashing every single barrier to their progression every single day of the year.
Look at your child. They are so much more than any piece of paper can ever, ever give them credit for, and don't you forget it!
