User

What an excellent day out for the whole family,so much to see and do in one day. Loved all the food testing stands and especially loved the talk from Ellie Harrison and Steve Backshaw. Would definitely recommend to people.👍😃

User

Very impressed with this event there was so much going on for all generations.

It was very dog friendly with plenty of water areas including a nice cool River Glyme for swimming and lots of woodlands for shade along the country mile.

Plenty of park land also and well spaced out, but watch out for the geese hanging around and beware of the Swans over on the river palace side.

It was great to see all the animals at the farm and a beautiful Suffolk Punch horse.

Great idea to have the train for those who don't want to walk up to the palace.

Probably didn't need to pay £5 for car park as no one checked ;O)

User

I had an excellent day enjoying all that Countryfilelive had to offer from being able to sample amazing foods in the kitchen tents to holding a little chick down on Adams farm. Everyone was extremely helpful with very friendly staff. The site had lots of shaded areas for everyone and there were lots of watering points not only for people but also for dogs. A great family day out.

User

I attended on Saturday, there was so much to do.

The stalls were so plentiful and well laid out. The areas in which similar stalls were located was an excellent idea. Everyone was so friendly and helpful. Parking was easy to use and laid out well. Walking the short distance and having traffic lights was a good idea. The guys on the traffic crossing were also really friendly

as well. Even leaving the venue was easy and really quick.

You certainly need two days to get round everything. Its a massive recommendation to take the whole family, there’s lots for everyone. Some of the food stalls were a bit pricey (one stall £9 for a burger). On a whole you can find quality at a price to suit every pocket.

Toilets were really plentiful and easy to find, located in lots of locations.

Five star can’t wait till next year.

User

Great day out hot and lots of wandering but worst of all my wallet and bank suffered badly came last year was so impressed we returned although last year we too part in more and spent less this year the wife went shopping instead!!!! (wife loved it, I loved the day hated parting with my money, husbands beware)

User

Got there at midday on Saturday and stayed for the summer party. Quite glad I didn’t get there earlier as there was so much to see, do and buy, I was exhausted by the end. Loads of food outlets, some delicious drinks (rhubarb cider was my favourite) and a lot of stalls took cards, which made having cash less of a hassle. I’m definitely going again next year and bringing the grandkids. Might consider priority parking too.

User

Fantastic event, so much on offer, we were with the RSPCA equines and the team were amazing; they were so helpful and could not do enough to ensure all the horses were happy & well cared for especially in the hot weather. I saw a lot of happy faces on a beautiful summers day in the Countryside. The security officers were very helpful even tho the sun was beating down on them for most of the day. The countryfile presenters were professional and friendly, a truly great day out. Well done everyone.

User

Thank you for fun family day out never been to the event before but will definitely be coming back, kids loved being able to try the paddle boarding and the driving experiences. Well done to all the parking / traffic marshalls super on the ball no queuing for us which was good as I was proper suffering from the heat!

User

It was our first time at the event and the whole family had a fantastic day. Yes a bit more shade around he arenas might have been good but you can’t predict the weather! The fill stations were a great idea however signs for both these and the toilets weren’t particularly clear. Also toilets wee very spread out so when a child suddenly decides they need the toilet it was quite a trek. All in all we will be returning as there was loads to see and do for the whole family. Thank you

User

We went 2 years ago for the first countryfile live and really enjoyed it. I was disappointed with the dog section and vastly reduced number of retailers selling dog accessories. Overall I thought there were too many large stands e. G several car sales companies that are not a good addition. The main stage programme was also disappointing and no show as such. It was very hot, limited shaded areas and seating areas. Overall probably won’t go back .

User

We booked as soon as tickets were available because we were so keen to attend and were disappointed to see big discounts appearing weeks later. It is fairer to offer an early bird discount and we won't book early ever again. We stayed in the camping area and it was expensive but convenient, especially with the frequent shuttle buses. The impression was that food and shopping outlets had highest priority as they were right in the middle and we had to walk a long way in the heat to get to the talks. Unfortunately, this gives a strong message that the organiser's main intention is to make a massive profit. Many of the shops had no connection with the countryside and these traders can be seen at any commercial event anywhere in the UK. We love Countryfile - please don't spoil it by turning yourselves into a massive money making machine.

User

The event itself was good, well organised, lots to see and do but as a dog friendly event there should have been an out and out ban on bringing dogs. Yes I know people where told to take advice from the rspca and kennel club but who’s going to actually do that? Clearly no one. At one point I saw a dog pulling a trolley with the families picnic and shopping in... This was not a dog friendly event at all. Also the prices for food and drinks were shocking. And completely unjustified. The organisers need to take responsibility for the dogs though. A complete ban might have saved some lives this weekend.

User

Ok this was my first visit and yes we all had a great day out (9 members of Chacombe WI) but I was very disappointed with Thames water. The web site said there would be plenty of water stands arround so bring your refillable bottles. I found 1 water station!!! And when asked stalls where the other water stations were situated was met with blank stares but would sell me bottled water for £2! I know they have to make money but! Second gripe, we downloaded the map as advised from the website only to find the site was divided into coloured zones which were not shown on our map. This map was in the programme but not on website - well I couldnt find it. The ap was rubbish, if you looked up a stall you would have thought it would then mark it so you could get easy directions- No and the O2 signal (who sponsored the ap) kept dropping out and I am with O 2

Finaly PLEASE dont bring dogs- its far to hot for them. The metal dog bowls heated up the water to such an extent that dogs were refusing to drink! End of rant!

User

Having attended last year, I looked forward to going again.

It was a very enjoyable day and catered for many. Last year there were more seating areas and this year could have done with bales of straw under the trees to offer some comfort away from the heat!

Good idea by providing plenty of free water as the cost of a bottle of water was extortionate!

Last year seemed smaller and were able to walk and view most things but this time it appeared spaced out and I know we definitely didn’t see all.

The tickets are overpriced and then nearer the time ‘offers’ appear. The days can be very costly if buying food and drink. Therefore organisers really have to ask themselves if overpriced. Especially a fiver per car and then walking quite a way to the site. I did feel this part was a rip off. If a trailer ride was offered, this would have compensated somewhat.

I did feel this year didn’t stand out on its own like last year. That is not to say I didn’t enjoy it, as I loved it however please don’t let greed take over and ruin a country based show.

User

Where was the countryside in this event? It did not represent the countryside that I know and love.. when everything is dumbed down as not to upset the wannabes but still they are not happy unless there is a Starbucks and a next pop up shop. Where wer the hand sanitizer to stop the animals (of which they wasn't many) Adams small holdings doesn't count! Catching bugs from the dirty people. It did represent what we are about at all. Such a shame.

User

Went on Sunday, Lots of stalls selling slightly overpriced food and drinks and shopping outlets. There weren’t many animals maybe due to the heat but not that much to do apart from shop. Had a drink in the real ale tent and asked the bar man what he’d recommend in the heat - he was particularly unhelpful and just passed a menu - I was expecting some passionate enthusiast, obviously not. parking and access were well organised - didn’t see any of the presenters. Over all is was ok but I’d not have been happy paying to get in

User

There were no guide maps provided it was chargeable for £5 therefore it’s gould be free , drinking water facilities were very less even the the bins were not located ,it was long walk with family to the car park I requested them if they can give us lift beacuse I was having my little one with me and some stuff too but they said it’s for Chevrolet guest only I was very disappointed at the end I walked with little one all the way to the car park. If you are providing lift to the vip people it should be equal to everyone.

User

I attended Countryfile Live in a working capacity, so I admit I didn’t get to see everything that was going on, but I was a little disappointed with what I did experience. It felt rather commercialised with the ubiquitous shopping and food outlets. Of course, it’s great to have lots of nice country fare on offer, but why on earth was there a McDonald’s??! Considering Countryfile is a programme about the issues facing the countryside and environment, I was also disappointed that there wasn’t more in place to encourage sustainable living. All the masses of food stalls and bars were dispensing lots of single-use packaging and I didn’t see any recycling points or any measures in place to manage the waste in the most eco-friendly way (if they had them there certainly weren’t any near us, just one big black biffa bin that all types of rubbish were being tossed into). I know big events like this always generate a lot of waste but I thought a show like Countryfile would be leading the way in trying to solve this issue. It’s also a shame that more wasn’t done to discourage owners from bringing their dogs in this extreme heat. I know ultimately the responsibility lies with the owner but maybe some announcements suggesting people consider leaving their dogs at home if they were coming back the next day, would have helped.

User

Very disappointed that the BBC allowed the countryside alliance to use cute little puppies to further their agenda. Those same puppies that will be used for hunting cubs next year. They did not inform the public how many perfectly healthy dogs will be euthanised this year or how many will have to be put down due to bovine tb. Sickening.
