A prospective new stair balcony link. I do like sketch ups sketchy function much better than I could have done free hand!

Thought id ad some finnished pics of skyber on the lizard! Start to finnish turn key solutions for the timber framed conservatory, studio, extension... The client was a bit pleased and I rather like it too, but im biased!

Almost finnished the full Skyber build from top to toe. I feel a last big push, with lots of skilled bodies to draw a line under this one and hand it over to the client finnished and signed off. Im quite pleased with it.

I am currently working on this conservatory/extension on the Lizard with Phil Woodcock. So far digging out foundations and building a "battered wall". And during January I will be fabricating the frame that sits on top. February will be glazing and tying in the roof under a covered scaffold shell so we don't have to brave the elements and risk the potential leakage through to the kitchen when we remove the tiles. Design through Matt Robinson Architecture.

A super fun project making an S shaped childs/(childish adults) climbing frame and monkey bar structure. Most of the timber came from site and all the central connections were made with these awesome tenon cutters by Veritas. Both Dad and his lil son are nuts about it. The client, Darren Hawkes garden design and myself agreed on a design and collectively helped to make it happen. The monkey bar section is made with 38mm oak dowel.

Just thought id impart these words from another century past. “He who works with his hands is a labourer. He who works with his hands and his head is a craftsman. He who works with his hands and his head and his heart is an artist”. St Francis of Assissi (1181 – 1226)

Following on from the design the structure is almost complete. I initially cast the pads, then started triple checking my optical level data for post end cuts, cut the posts and located on them on to stainless threaded bar. Since these photos were taken the cladding flew up with the help of Mr Paslode the nail gun. So now I'm hoping to finnish the whole project on Thursday failing torrential downpours, fingers crossed.

Currently getting dry after enjoying some Cornish mizzle whilst setting out and shuttering for this delightful wood shed I designed for some clients in Penzance. Hopefully concreting will be done before the rains come on Saturday!

And whilst we're on a glazing tip here's a little job we did last year with my mate Dan Richards in Buckfastleigh Devon. Thoroughly enjoyable few weeks on site and a great little quirky town.

What a day to be working outside! Perched on a conservatory roof stopping the shake rattle and role of all the loose pains. look what grows if your external timbers aren't maintained! New planed timbers, Western red cedar with epdm tape and some fine stainless spax timber screws. Known commonly as the direct or dry galzing system.

I had the luck, not so long ago of stumbling upon a beautiful Shin Budhist garden/temple in West London.
