What a beautiful well maintained campsite � the showers and toilets were so clean, even had toilet rolls and Baylis and Harding soap!! Lovely quirky teepee restaurant serves great food and really laid back owners.... will definitely be returning �

So ill be honest after reading some reviews i wasnt sure if i should book.. we have had a fab 4 nights! Very clean, shop stocks enough for a campsite! Hot showers, ALL staff very friendly and helpful

We dined in the restaurant one night which was really lovely.tasty food, amazing portions and prices. We opted for the their takeaway service one night, delivered to our tent, another fab option

Jenny ( owners name i think) is a total trooper... cleans,manages office/shop, and chef! Respect to her.... i never once saw a grump off anyone! We will certainly return, great base for the family

Really great campsite with good attention to cleanliness. Facilities were excellent, v impressed that there was a tumble dryer! Great flat field to pitch up in. Really nicely stocked shop and the food in the restaurant was top class. Never had such good food whilst camping! Definitely recommend and will be back to visit. Staff all welcoming and attentive to our needs. Thank you!

Lovely little campsite, staff were great, it was clean and friendly. The restaurant was closed for a wedding but food smelt amazing �

Literally just got home from a lovely 2 night stay in one of the cosy safari tents, had an amazing time and the children loved it. The tents and staff are fabulous with everything you could possibly need provided. We booked our stay under a late cancellation offer and we definitely got ourselves a bargain. Afternoon tea or should i say feast was waiting in our fridge on arrival it was delicious and the 4 of us couldn't even finish it there was so much (we are big eaters). We ordered dinner to our tent from the resturant that evening and again it was fabulous and seriously tasty.

Loads to do with the kids close by we chose a day at Castle Howard, lovely weather and brilliant park, tractor/train ride for the kids and walks round the house and gardens.

Would highly recommend Canadian Fields for a family break, extremly clean site and glamping accommodation with amazing food and staff.

Just returned from a 5 day stay here and we loved it! The tent was fab with literally everything we needed, loved sitting outside on an evening with the fairy lights on and lighting the log burner on an evening so cosy!! Jenny and the rest of the staff are so helpful and friendly and the food in the restaurant is delicious

Just finished a birthday break here, 2nd visit, this time we fetched my mum and dad (who is recovering from a broken leg) absolutely fantastic facilities for my mum, really friendly restaurant, as always best part is having food delivered to the tent!

Just back from a lovely little camping trip at Canadian fields. It's a really small quirky site. It has glamping pods and tent pitches. Last night we had a few drinks from the teepee bar/restaurant whilst sat on the benches watching the children play. The food that was coming out of the restaurant looked out of this world so would definitely book next time for an evening meal. Play area is more for younger children up to about 8 I'd say but the older children were playing games in the middle of the field. We will be coming back :-)

Having been recommended this place we were not disappointed. Beautiful setting. Amazing food and exceptional service. We will be back. Highly recommend. Thanks for the tip off Steven Hayhurst x

Had a great weekend here. First weekend of the kid's Summer break and they loved it as there were lots of other kids to play with. Very quiet laid back site, no noise issues, owner (Jenny) was very friendly. Didn't use the restaurant as we were on a budget but the Friday evening when we arrived it sounded lively and the menu looks good. You can order a breakfast and have it delivered to your tent (we didn't as we are tight), the showers/toilets/washing up area were spotless and it's a five minute drive into Helmsley for the co op. There is a small shop in reception for emergency supplies (wine). Worth noting too that, although we had some quite heavy overnight rain, the field the next day wasn't boggy. We'd have no hesitation recommending this campsite and we will definitely stay here again as it's only an hour away from us. Thanks for having us.

Great site. Stayed in our motor home for a long weekend for a wedding. Jenny is really thoughtful & provided outside TV for everyone to watch the World Cup. The food was astonishing...both for the wedding & Sunday lunch. We will definitely be back. Thank you Jenny & all your staff

Great campsite, safari tent was fab, had everything you need to make your stay great. Will definitely be returning

Canadian fields was a late choice but we will be going back, very clean and well kept site with all the facilities, outdoor play area to keep the kids entertained, very child and pet friendly

Best sirloin I have had for a long time, great experience love the tepee. Nice staff, I highly recommande it. Good fun.

Love this place for food but this weekend I had the hake & salmon and the hake was loaded with bones and soggy skin left on in the sauce ... still tasted fab but just had to be careful.

If I had to criticise it would be the waitress's clonky shoes they where really noisy and annoying.

Will be back again though as the food is beautiful and the staff are so welcoming.

The safari tent we stayed in was superb, had everything u need for ur stay, endless amount of logs, even had tea, coffee, sugar, washing up liquid, toilet rolls etc all the little things u might forget. Got checked in by the owners daughter, the owner was there but didn't say much and as I was reversing into my space at the tent the daughter came out to show us around the tent. She was very polite and friendly must be 13/14 at the most, but would've expected the owner as she was there to come over! Not a great deal in the shop and when my kids went over they were 40p short so said they would come and get some more money, this was the only time the kids went to the shop as the owner wasn't very friendly towards them, in fact my 12 year old niece had a nightmare about her on the night she made that much of an impression. You could hear her constantly shouting at children asking what they were doing! We decided against eating in the restaurant but it seemed very popular with people from outside coming in. All in all we had a great stay kept ourselves to ourselves and the site is in a great location as a base. I would return but would take everything I needed as not to bother the owner, she really could do with being a bit friendlier and more approachable.
