A lovely customer Amber has recently adopted Amos from Romania. With the help of Woodfield Dog Rescue in Bishop Thornton, run by Janet McDougall. Janet does it all off her own back, bringing dogs from Romania from a shelter there that gets them out of the pound where they have a limited time before being put to sleep. Amos pictured in first photo, was in the pound in Romania (about to be put to sleep), having found on the streets. He was skin and bone with mostly only a bottom coat. His hair is now growing back all fluffy and like a baby puppy. So sweet. Amos now has Louie and Luna to play with, photo 2 and although nervous, he has a lovely future. Well done Amber and family and special thanks to Janet McDougall๐พโค๐พโค๐พโค
Today Melanie Hines from Nails by Melanie came in with Bella and Maisie. The family have recently adopted them but they were both very matted... Maisie was brilliant but Bella was very nervous...They already have Dolly who already comes in for a groom. Laura and Jess were in today from Askam Bryan on work experience and Bella and Maisie were given lots of cuddles to reassure them. Melanie collected them and pictured holding them with their new jumpers. Carol's Bonnie Dogs wish the family fun and happiness with all 3 dogs xx

Please vote for Lauren Doherty - Volunteer of the Year Award
Lauren Doherty is an amazing young lady who deserves to win The Volunteer of the Year award. Lauren has a dog called Poppy who comes in for her pamper and I have met Lauren on several occasions... Please take a moment to vote for Lauren - Thank you:-
11 years ago this year, Lauren was on a night out with friends. Distracted and making a split second decision to cross the road at the wrong time, she was hit by a van. As a result of her accident, she was left totally paralysed... and relying on someone else to do everything for her.
Not only has she rebuilt her life around her disability, since 2016, she has devoted her time, voluntarily, to sharing her Road Safety Message in local schools and clubs, reaching 1800 children and young adults this year alone.
She has now been nominated for two awards, Volunteer of the Year award and also the Kate Granger Award for Outstanding Contribution, in The Yorkshire Choice Awards 2019 and Lauren needs our support for the next stage-the public vote!
If you know Lauren personally, have met her through this project, heard about her through your children from her visiting their school or club or you have just read her story and have been inspired, please take two minutes to vote for her in both categories by following this link;

As well as voting if you could share this post with your friends and family on social media it would be greatly appreciated- every vote counts!
Thanking everyone in advance for your support of this project. ๐ซ
