Many thanks to everyone who came along to meet the Team and for your generous contributions today at the Guisborough Forest Festival. You'll see from the photos that we had a flurry of stretcher cases in the afternoon but we're pleased to report that all of the patients are now fully recovered.

Pretty grim out on the Dales for the trainee dogs today at Search And Rescue Dog Association England training....several team members assisting with the all important and thankless task of bodying this weekend too 🐾👍🐕👌
CMRT team members make a splash!
Congratulations to 3 of our team members who have this week successfully completed their 'Management of Flood and Water Related Incidents' course. Defra Mod 5.
The course, run by specialist training provider RNE (Rescue North East) was also attended by North East Ambulance Service HART (Hazardous Area Response Team) Paramedics.
... The 4 day course developed the skills and tools needed to manage such incidents, with plenty of realistic scenarios to work through to reinforce the learning. It included a day on the whitewater course at Tees barrage to help it sink in!!!
Many thanks to RNE for running the course and to Gary for capturing the action, but also to the public whose donations provide our charity volunteers with the funding for our equipment and training.
Now let's just hope none of this needs to be put into action too soon!

On Tuesday the trainee search dogs along side graded search dog Team Tim and Cassie from Swaledale MRT have been out showing BBC Tees exactly what we do. It was wet and cold up on North York Moors National Park on Tuesday so all the dogs were grateful for their Siccaro jackets. Dry in no time unlike the handlers! You can see more of what one of our dogs gets up to by following @traineesearchdogbracken on instagram #somuchmorethanmountains #workhardplayharder #getoutdoors #getoutside
Wow 😮 thank you Karen.

Night Navigation Assessment.
Two of our probationer team members got a chance to demonstrate their navigational skills last night as part of a night navigation assessment at the end of their probation period. Well done to both of them for successfully passing in an absolutely pitch black night, with low damp cloud cover and visibility of only a few metres........perfect testing conditions!
Even in these conditions good knowledge and practice will safely get you through the hills and moors and we encourage everyone involved in the outdoors to practice these essential skills.
