Great walk today that was recommended by one of our guests, it was superb and perfect for all ages. Bainbridge circular via Askrigg and Worton, Wensleydale at itŌĆÖs best and beautiful Askrigg as a midway point. It was a tough choice between HPB Kings Arms Hotel and Humble Pie for our pit stop but the homemade cake swung it in favour of the superb Humble Pie - Finished with a beer in the Rose and Crown in Bainbridge, lovely walk and perfect day. ­¤æŹ

It is a lovely walk for all the family with plenty of things to do/see on the way, Simonstone Hall Hotel has one of the best beer gardens in the Dales for lunch and a pint of Wensleydale Brewery - We could have sat there all day!

Absolutely wonderful! When we'd checked out the whole place on arrival my husband said I'd excelled myself in finding it! Craggley Cottage will be a very memorable stay. The cottage is decorated beautifully and the facilities are great, the sheph...erd's hut was AMAZING! We spent every evening after dinner watching the sunset, a couple of voles who kept popping out of the stone wall and the pleasure of a barn owl and tawny owl that put in an occasional appearance... all whilst enjoying some wine and feeling totally chilled. The view from the garden is very special and we already miss it! West Burton is one of the most attractive villages in the Dales and Craggley Cottage was the perfect base, pretty confident you won't be disappointed.

Wow just amazing,unfortunately we didn't get the whole weekend we hoped for but that 1 night was lovely. The cottage is beautiful has everything anyone could need,totally loved the kitchen we spent the evening relaxing in there talking rubbish while the boys had the sitting room. The beds were out of this world so comfortable i struggled to get up,we didn't make it outside but wil definitely be returning to try the shepherds hut. Ashleigh and Michael should be extremely proud of what they have achieved its definitely got the wow factor wishing them every success.

Sorry we didn't manage to leave a review in the book we had to leave quickly but will next time.

We've just got back from a lovely week at Craggley Cottage - a beautiful place to stay and in a wonderful location. The view from the shepherd's hut is fab and it's a real suntrap in the evenings, and it was great to have a safe enclosed garden for the children to play in. We loved the waterfalls in the village and the pub being just a couple of minutes up the road - and right opposite the village green so we could sit outside with a pint and keep an eye on our daughter on the swings. Really enjoyed walking and cycling in the local area, and the scarecrow festival in Kettlewell, which started on our last day, was great fun. Definitely recommended!

We loved our stay here. It's a beautiful, well designed cosy cottage. Perfect for getting away and enjoying the dales. Ashley and Michael have gone the extra mile by adding personal touches such as Netflix, many walking books , games and even a welcome pack (which was well appreciated after a long day of walking). Thank you for allowing us and our 4 legged friends to stay in your lovely cottage.

We have just spent 3 nights at this beautiful cottage.

It was absolutely perfect.

We took our 18m twins for some of our stay and was a gorgeous place to start our family holidays.

Any questions were answered so quickly and they were so helpful in giving us the best stay by giving us hints and tips. The fish and chip van coming to the green on a Wednesday night was one we used ’┐Į.

We didnŌĆÖt venture out much as we went to relax, but we didnŌĆÖt need to as the garden area is perfect.

Everything was thought of and didnŌĆÖt need half of the stuff we packed.

We will definitely be returning and many of our family and friends are already thinking of booking up and we only got home today ’┐Į

We have just had a wonderful weekend at this beautiful cottage in the stunning Yorkshire Dales area. Immaculately clean and so well equipped. We very much enjoyed relaxing in the delightful garden and could hardly take our eyes off the views. The shepherd's hut was a joy to see. Just Magic

This is our second stay in this fantastic cottage canŌĆÖt recommend it enough. ItŌĆÖs in a great location the. Local pub is a stones throw away great family friendly garden lovely views and fantastic shepherds hut in the garden to explore great for them summer evening to chill in . Will definitely be going back very soon xxxx

This cottage is a little piece of heaven. Set in beautiful surroundings it is so peaceful. Your every need has been thought of and it is decorated exquisitely. The welcome pack is a lovely touch and the bread in it was especially delicious. The cottage is well situated to visit the surrounding dales villages and towns and explore to your hearts content. The jewel in the crown is the shepherds hut which is so perfect for you to sit and chill watching the changing landscape while drinking a nice glass of wine. My husband would have liked to pick it up and bring it home. I would recommend this cottage to everyone without reservation and will return.

Perfect cottage in a perfect setting!! Beautiful decor throughout with modern twists whilst also keeping the character feel of a stone cottage. Lovely touches to make you feel welcome on arrival, including some yummy supplies. We travelled as a family with our 3 year old son and dog, everyone felt accommodated and relaxed throughout which is so important. The big bonus to this cottage is its private garden to the rear including a gorgeous shepherds hut which is so nice to sit in watching the views of the hilltops, having the log burner going with Netflix playing in the background....total bliss!! West Burton is such a picturesque village with friendly locals, a local shop, a butcher's, a play park, a great pub & it's own waterfall. We can't fault our stay at Craggley Cottage.... thanks so much guys....we can't wait to come back!!!

Loved this place. Fantastic cottage, extremely clean and modern interior. Great welcoming hosts that were always available to answer any questions. Made sure we had found the cottage and settled in. Wonderful village and many attractions close by. Will definitely visit again - but distance from home means not for a while...

Just got home from a fantastic break at Craggley Cottage Kelly, me and Freddie our dog absolutely loved it , the Cottage is beautiful and has everything you need it was spotless and was done out to a very high standard. The village of west Burton is lovely and the people are very friendly, there's lots of lovely walks and beautiful scenery. We would love to go back in the near future

Just got back from a lovely weekend away at craggley cottage. The cottage is fantastic and I loved all the little extras to make you feel at home. This really is a luxury property and sitting in the Shepards hut with the log burner going while it snowed outside was bliss. We will be back.

IŌĆÖve just returned from a stay at Craggley, the cottage is so pretty and perfectly situated to explore the village and surrounding areas. It has everything you could ever need to make it a home from home. The outdoor space is great for everyone, my toddler loved playing in the garden and watching the sheep, whilst for the grown ups the views over the hills are perfect at sunset with a glass of wine outside the shepherds hut ’┐Į I met Michael and Ashleigh and they were the most helpful and kind hosts I have come across. Thank you guys for everything! The village has some lovely areas to explore, including a village green with play park and also some great waterfalls that were ideal for splashing around in (especially with the recent hot weather). A perfect stay in a perfect location. We will definitely be back very soon x

IŌĆÖve been wanting to stay at Craggley cottage for a while and it didnŌĆÖt disappoint.



The house is well proportioned and tastefully decorated. We were fortunate enough to have great weather to take advantage of the AMAZING garden, complete with Shepherds hut.



Travelling with 2 small children aged 1 & 3 can be a challenge but Michael and Ashley made sure we had everything we needed during our stay. They were also very quick to respond to any queries.



Their website and welcome guide has some excellent suggestions for days out and we had enjoyable trips to nearby BerryŌĆÖs Farm shop, Forbidden corner and Camphill Estate woodland park.

Had an amazing time here last few days n really didn't want to come home. Cant rate the cottage highly enough as it had literally everything you could need including welcome pack. The village was picturesque and locals soooo welcoming. Can t wait to go back ’┐Į if anyone wants break away with lovely walks... peace and quiet in beautiful setting then this is a must x

Craggley Cottage exceeded our expectations! It was so homely and the hosts had thought of everything to make our stay extra special. The cottage was very cosy and the beds extremely comfortable! The village of West Burton is picture perfect and Craggley Cottage is set right in the very heart of it. After a three night stay I was so settled that I could have moved in! The views at the back of the property are just stunning and we loved the shepherd's hut in which we sat with a glass of wine and took in the amazing scenery. This cottage is perfect in every way and is beautifully decorated. I can't wait to return in the future and would highly recommend it to others.....’┐Į

Absolutely beautiful cottage in a stunning location! Booked for two nights for our honeymoon and it wasn't long enough to fully appreciate this cottage and its surroundings. Everything you think of is of is in this hotel and the owners have gone above and beyond to make sure they cater for the needs of all

of their guests. They even left us a bottle to fizz to celebrate our wedding! We took our 15 month old son with us and he loved every second of it and eating his breakfast watching the sheep. This place is a little piece of heaven and we've already booked to return.
