It's been scorchio round the shop this last few days 🌞 !! But great to have our Wally round helping 😎

Another VW engine re-fresh ready to go back to its owner 😎 Unfortunately I'm going to have to make a general apology to some of our customers, since the weather turned we've been inundated with work and sometimes, due to certain jobs needing extra work or parts, things can take longer than expected ☹ we have over 20 engines (+ a few vehicles) in at the moment and we are making every effort to keep the queue moving along and really appreciate everybodys patience 👍

Abit more work on Marks GMC truck. Air ride compressor mounted correctly, fuel pump mounted on rear chassis and plumbed in. Couple more jobs then back to its owner for the summer 😎

A quick rear brake overhaul and some fancy new wheels for Mr Fishwicks camper 😎

Mr Cox's Hotrod in the shop for a few engine and suspension adjustments. Getting the ramp legs under low cars can be fun 🤔😁

Richards early bay camper is possibly one the nicest I've worked on and driven. It's very original bodywork wise, but is in fantastic condition and has had a lot of work to the running gear and trim etc to make it as good as it could be, and it shows, everything about it functions perfectly 😎 We were asked to help out with a few minor engine issues, and happily got stuck in 😎

Been crazy in the shop since the sun came out so i haven't had the chance to post much recently, but here's a few pics of recent work I've found on my phone.

A new local car meet coming up in June. Knowing the guys from "Road to Nowhere" there should be some great cars turning up 😎 Please give it some support and hopefully it might lead to bigger and better things 👍

Final build up pics of a blown methanol Chevy drag racing engine. I've been working on this for a couple of months now, today i port matched the cylinder heads, fitted them to the engine using 12point ARP stud and nut kit, then got stuck in to the Jesel roller rocker setup, before sealing it all up ready for collection. Hopefully next time i see this it'll be fitted in a dragster and racing at Santa Pod 😎

Tidy German look Cabby in for a few running issues. Poor car has been laid up for a couple of years and the righthand carb was all gummed up. A carb strip down and clean out and it was good to go 😎

A nice way to end the week, working on this lovely 65 Mustang Fastback. These mid to late 60's cars are the iconic Mustang for me 😎 This one had a few running issues, but we've got it 95% there, we're just waiting for a carb part and hopefully it'll drive as Ford intended 👍

An update on the blown methanol Chevy race engine. Cam is now timed in, front cover and drive assembly fitted, oil pump fitted, sump on and ARP head studs in. A bit of porting on the cylinder heads to finish and then we can get the topend assembled 😎

Running gear and new wiring loom are now fitted on Steve's Samba, so it's back on it's wheels and away to the trimmers tomorrow. While it's away I'll get the engine ready for fitment once the interior is sorted 😎

Busy busy with a couple of Harleys at the moment 😓 First bike had been in a minor accident and ended up with bent forks 😮 With the forks stripped and rebuilt using new top legs and fresh oil its good to go. Next was a new aftermarket fairing fitted and a bar swap, fairing came with no instructions 🙄 after a bit of head scratching and a few minor mods another job sorted. Next was a FXDX Harley thats had a fortune spent on engine upgrades, but unfortunately the racing exhaust had melted the perspex window in the billet cam cover, to get him away i made a steel replacement, fitted it all back together and it's good to go 😎

Any of you local guys who like Hotrods, Harleys or even Speedway take a look at this ! This year we're fortunate to be getting a local round of the National Flat Track racing championship at Southbank speedway stadium ! Get down there and support local guy Mike Hill and see if he can take a win on home ground 😎

Very very nice late 60's GMC truck is staying with us for a few days 😎 We are just giving it an oil & filter change using Lucas oils finest, a new Holley carb and a tune up. Hopefully this will see it running at it's best ready for it's new owner. The truck is currently for sale at Retro Classic Car in Swainby.
