Freebie Flowerpot Friday!
As you all know July and August in Settle is all about the Flowerpot creations, and it is no different for Falcon Manor. However this year our Flowerpot family has grown. We have Dandy and Daisy of course, and Poppy and Herb...ert. ¤ī┐¤Źā¤ī║¤ī╗¤ī╝
However, this tiny little fella is still without a name! So we need your help and you could be in with a chance of winning Flowerpot Afternoon Tea.
... All you have to do is create the most wonderful, quirky and unique name you can think of for this little chap and why you chose the name. Let us know in the comments below!
We will pick the final two entries and then this will then be put to you to pick the winner in a poll!
Competition ends Sunday 12th Aug.

¤ÆĢ Happy Father's Day! ¤ÆĢ
This year we have a very special message from Danielle, one of our beautiful brides from Falcon Manor...
A message to my Dad - ... One of the most special parts of my wedding day was my dress reveal to my dad and seeing him before I walked down the aisle. Throughout the whole run up to the wedding, the thought of my dad giving me away made me incredibly emotional as we have such a special bond. I would tell any bride who has a close relationship with their dad to really cherish these personal moments as they are such a memorable part of their beautiful day. Throughout my whole childhood, my dad played such an important role and has always been my hero, guiding me to become the person I am today. I feel incredibly lucky to have a dad as fun, caring and loyal as mine so I would like to wish you a Happy FatherŌĆÖs Day Dad, I love you loads.
We hope you have the most wonderful day.

We stayed in The Turret Suite, everything you could wish for, especially the free standing bath in the bay window.

The food in the evening and at breakfast was particularly well cooked and certainly not short in quantity.

All the staff from reception, bar personnel and waitresses were very pleasant and most helpful.

Just an 8 minute stroll into Settle and well situated to explore the delights of Malham, Grassington and Skipton etc. etc.

Good free wi-fi if you need it.

Two very small points I made on leaving to the young lady on the reception desk:

1 No shaver socket in bathroom

2 No shelf for personal odds and ends in bathroom

Would highly recommend a break at this hotel.

User

We loved our stay at the Manor, first timers in the Rafters Suite (DB&B)The room was amazing, full of character and style. Unfortunately we could tell we were above the kitchen but we were the only room on that side of the building upstairs so we can't have it all ’┐Į.

The food was amazing from starter to desert. The staff were very helpful and friendly, I think quite a few newbies started during our stay which showed but we all have to start somewhere!

The dining room was styled so nice too and was in love with the warm entrance and cosey stairway. (Candles everywhere ’┐Į)

Really worth a stay. Oh and breakfast was fab too - lots of choice and all great quality.

I would have expected anything less of James Places. All fab and classy venues x

User

We had a wonderful wedding at Falcon Manor in April. Emily and the rest of the staff were incredibly helpful and supportive during the planning and helped make things really easy for us.

The day itself was perfect. the venue looked great and the food was amazing. Cooking for a large group can often see a reduction in quality but this wasn't the case at Falcon Manor and it was the best wedding food we've had.

The rooms were very luxurious, comfortable and clean with bags of charm. The Rafters Suite was incredible with a huge bathroom including a bath and a giant bed.

We can definitely recommend getting married here and even staying a night and having a meal.

We will be back!

User

We had a nights dinner, bed and breakfast and couldn't fault a single thing.

The room was lovely and clean. The staff were very friendly and the food was very good. And best of all they are biker friendly.

We would definitely stay again and would recommend to anyone

We called yesterday for lunch and it was lovely the staff were really attentive we sat outside before lunch in big wicker chairs getting to know each other we are all members of the JAB Falcon car club and met for the first time at your Hotel thank you

User

This was the first time I have been asked to do bridal makeup and be a guest at this venue. Settle has many attributes being one of my favorite Yorkshire market towns, but surely the the Falcon Manor must be its jewel in the crown. The staff were friendly and very professional delivering excellent reception, table and bar service all day and well into the small hours. Hats off also to the kitchen staff the food outstanding delicious and delivered instyle. The house is bursting with history age and character with many modern features (bathrooms/ facilities) making it a perfect wedding venue, the grounds fantastic for photos especially with view of the stunning Dales Fells as a backdrop, the day was rainy and very wet but we were treat to the mist rolling off the fell into the valley making the bridal photos distinctive and uniquely Yorkshire. The day was perfect in every way, well done to all who worked that day.

User

Thank you to the staff of Falcon Manor for making my daughter's wedding so special. It was a beautiful day.

User

Returned home today after three nights at Falcon Manor Hotel. A lovely place to stay. Food was great and the staff are attentive and friendly. Room was perfect as it was just for myself. Also pleased to see a shower that I can easily stand under. Being 6ft 6ins tall this has been a problem at other places I've stayed in. All in all I am very happy with the experience and would recommend Falcon Manor to anyone.

User

Recently got married here and it was perfect, the staff were all great, in particular Jane who kept the day running like clockwork. We fell in love with Falcon when we first saw it in January and it didnŌĆÖt disappoint. Stunning venue, great rooms, perfect for an intimate wedding. Food was delicious! CouldnŌĆÖt have asked for better. Thank you again! We will definitely be visiting again for a weekend away ’┐Į

Myself and my partner stayed here for our anniversary. The room was lovely, staff very friendly, breakfast was excellent. We had a few surprises when we arrived in the room, rose petals on the bed, chocolates, prosecco and a lovely note wishing us happy anniversary. This was a lovely touch. Thank you so much for making out night away so special.

User

Just spent a fabulous night (dinner, bed and breakfast) in a standard double room with our very large dog. Beautifully and tastefully decorated and exudes luxury, with superior quality bed linen, super thick cotton towels and L'Occitane toiletries in an exceptionally clean and modern bathroom and gorgeous floral displays in the room. Delightful dining areas, both dining room and bar, with goose feather lights which have to be seen! The food was absolutely delicious with gluten free options and the staff friendly and efficient. Will definitely be returning!

User

Excellent service. I cannot fault this place. The staff were friendly and happy to help. And the food was delicious.

User

CouldnŌĆÖt fault the Falcon Manor Hotel one bit! It was perfect from start to finish.

We were greeted by a lovely lady on reception on arrival and the rest of the staff have looked after us throughout our stay.

The food was divine, we had breakfast twice and ate in the restaurant both nights. Every part of the meals was perfect! Hence why we chose to eat there for our second night stay too.

The bedroom was beautiful, clean, grand and everything that we needed. A lovely deep bath to have a relaxing soak in.

I think this is the best hotel IŌĆÖve stayed in where everything overall was perfect!

The location was perfect to and we enjoyed drinks out of the terrace due to the lovely weather.

Highly recommend to anyone looking for a lovely get away in the Yorkshire dales.

User

The room was beautiful

Only let down by very poor cheap sachets of coffee and uht milk

We had a fridge in the room so some fresh milk would go a long way

The food in the evening was amazing , compliments to wayne the chef

The whole place grand and oppulant warm and inviting

Staff were half asleep , not attentive , both at the evening meal and breakfast , very slow and un interested

I feel a place like this needs some staff to show an interest and smile once in a while

User

Lovely place and dealt with the small housekeeping issue. Fantastic food and service think we will be visiting again

User

My daughter had her wedding here and was fantastic this WAS NOT down to the staff at falcon manor it was down to the many different companies that put everything in place at the right time. My daughter had 5 different wedding planners all of which was pretty useless and never communicated with relevant information. Not ideal for a bride to be I have to say her experience was a nightmare. It wasn't until a couple of weeks before and Jane came on the scene she actually then had a little faith. They even admitted she had a bad experience but still made her pay for the rafters suite the night before even though the kitchen staff-kept us up most of the night and had to go down at 1.30am to ask them to be quiet. As I said the day was perfect but I would seriously think twice before booking here. She is still waiting for a call back from them 2 weeks later so she can aire her concerns. Cleanish but getting run down. Beautiful setting. If you choose here has a wedding venue be prepared to be very stressed with little communication.

User

Went for the first time yesterday and although the room was nice, the breakfast service was shocking. After sitting down we ordered two full English breakfasts, however I do believe we got forgotten about as people who sat down later than us received the same breakfast quicker than we did. The waitress asked if we wanted sauces, which we both did, and by the time they had come we'd eaten half of our breakfast. I heard another table ask about toast and the waitress told them toast came with coffee and tea. We were not given any toast and the couple opposite didn't either. Felt very unprofessional and clumsy. After checking out we also didn't get asked how our stay was, hence the review.

User

Wouldn't give you 1 star after reading about the way you have treated a couple who, for health reasons were unable to use some vouchers, and you refuse to refund. Disgusted at you.

What happened to compassion discretionary?

As a company you should be ashamed!!!!

User

Just heard that a friend of mine had bought some gift vouchers for her parents to use here but in the meantime before they have had chance to use them one of her parents has fallen very ill and will not be able to go for that reason . Flacon Manor have refused point blank to give her a refund and say it's due to HMRC issues !!!! I myself have never heard of this and don't believe it for a minute , running a business myself and knowing a little bit about HMRC would have thought that this is a load of rubbish ! I'm utterly disgusted that my friend and her family are having these problems when it is a genuine thing , bad enough one of her parents is going through this never mine the added stress , absolutely disgraceful and would NOT recommend this place to anyone especially for purchasing vouchers ! You should be ashamed of yourselves .
