On Friday 7th September the Frazer Theatre Comedy Club returns from it’s summer break to start it’s Autumn run with a bang.
Tickets are still just £10 in advance and are available in person from The Old Chemist Shop, Market Place, Knaresborough, by calling 07835 927965 or from our online box office (with no booking fee) by clicking Find Tickets above. Any remaining tickets will be available on the door for £12.
... Doors open at 7:30pm and the show starts at 8pm.
The line up is:
Andy Askins ----------------- Andy Askins is a diminutive figure who exudes an air of vulnerability as he steps up to the microphone armed with a guitar and a cheeky grin. It’s an overwhelmingly misleading demeanour which serves to heighten the impact of the killer lines that he delivers.
“Funny, funny, funny man” – Jason Manford “Brilliant and unique” – John Bishop “Dark humour with faultless timing” – The Stage “Totally hilarious” – Ross Noble “Packs a wry, cheeky wit. There is, most definitely, something warmly alluring about him” – Chortle
Nigel Ng ------------ Nigel Ng grew up in Malaysia, lived in America for five years and moved to the UK in 2015. Having started his comedy career in Chicago, he’s relieved that (most) people in the UK get his jokes too, as evidenced by him winning the prestigious Amused Moose Laugh Off 2016 and being runner up in the Laughing Horse New Act of the Year 2015.
He was also a finalist in the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year 2016 and Leicester Square New Comedian of the Year 2015 competitions. He was selected to perform in The Pleasance Comedy Reserve at Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2017 and now can be seen performing in comedy clubs across the UK.
Amy Gledhill ------------------ Brimming with natural warmth and charm, Amy Gledhill’s stand up is a unique blend of confessional stories, intelligent observations and ridiculous, off-beat daftness. She ‘commands the stage’ (Funny Women) with her playful energy and is as unpretentious as a sock in a puddle.
“One of the best adverts for modern alternative comedy you could ever wish to see.” – Ed Fest Magazine “Native Hullensian Amy Gledhill has collated the kind of awards portfolio that would shame a seasoned pro.” – The Skinny
Matt Stellingwerf ----------------------- Matt Stellingwerf has come an impressively long way in a short amount of time. He is the newest star on the UK comedy scene, having dominated the comedy stages of New Zealand for the last five years. Highly regarded by his peers, Matt has won four NZ Comedy Guild Awards, including Best Newcomer, and been nominated for the much coveted Billy T Award, as well as several others.
His strength as a compere is reflected in his 3-time nominations for Best MC at the New Zealand Comedy Festival.

FESTIVAL UPDATE! We're very sorry to say that Sarah Keyworth is no longer joining us on the final night of the KNARESBOROUGH COMEDY FESTIVAL 2018. Many apologies for any disappointment, sadly it is for reasons completely beyond our control.
BUT! In the tradition of our previous super-subs, we have secured the services of the absolutely spectacular James Meehan. Formerly one third of fan-favourites Gein's Family Giftshop and an award-winning act in his own right, James is a ve...ry fine addition to the festival and one we are absolutely delighted to be bringing to you alongside Justin Moorhouse on Saturday 28th July.
As always, tickets are available from www.knaresboroughcomedyfestival.com.
