Giggleswick Young Enterprise is best in Yorkshire and Humber
Our Young Enterprise Company, Colour County, has been awarded Best Company at the Yorkshire and Humber Regional Finals held at the National Railway Museum in York. They now progress to the UK finals, following their success in previous rounds as Company of the Year winners for both Craven and Harrogate District and the North Yorkshire region.
The standard of the competition was very high with all regional finalists... representing their county as winners. The judges, from a range of business backgrounds, were impressed with the attention to detail by the Giggleswick Team as well as the scalability of their product with plans to develop their colouring books for other counties and regions around the UK. Colour County not only won Best Company Award but also took both the Customer Service and Best Presentation Award.
The team will now go on to compete in the national final in London as one of 14 regional winners. A remarkable achievement considering over 1300 teams and 15,000 students throughout the UK participate in the company programme competition.

Delighted to read Year 7 pupil, Archie Phillipson, has been selected for the Yorkshire Cricket U12 A Team squad for the 2019 season. This follows his brilliant 101* not out for North Yorkshire against South Yorkshire a few weeks ago. Well done Archie!
