Please be honest and inform me to the best of your knowledge
This is very important that we spread awareness, for me not only do I visit many yards but I also am in contact with horses when I'm not being a farrier.
I have a horse which is vaccinated, my girlfriend has a horse which is vaccinated and everyone I spend time with outside work has their horses vaccinated, everyone should adopt this attitude by my opinion. It costs money but it could save a huge amount of sufferin...g if you do.
Just to re-instate what professional veterinary practices preach; even if you don't plan on moving your horse or have other horses in contact with your horse there is still risk as the EI because it is airborne as well as cross contamination.
I also need to know if your own horse or a horse on the yard where you keep your horse has had a diagnosis so I can take the correct protocol as I would never forgive you if I was liable for the spread of EI and I was unaware.
If everyone takes precaution it will be soon managed so share, like, show your friends or whatever it takes to make everyone who owns/works with horses to be vigilant. We all want the best for these animals and its in our control.

So we did it!!
Lake Windermere, which was a total of 21 miles in a rowing boat with a record time of 5hrs 3mins, 2nd overall fastest in our category!
Even better, I’ve raised £200 for St Gemma’s hospice in Leeds, so a hugh thank you to all who have contributed it doesn’t go unnoticed. Plus what my other 3 friends raised which is well over £500
... Great day (apart from getting sunburnt leg’s, which all my clients today’s know about 🙄) with great friends. Definitely signing up next year!

Just to prove I have been training, this was 5000m.
I know is a long way from 21miles but 22mins isn’t too crappy.
Only a week to go so I need to really do this a few more times!!!

I do quite a few events for various charities throughout the year and usually fund them out of the business but on this occasion I thought I would open it up to everyone as well. It is £100 per person which I have funded and I’ve set up a page on just giving for sponsors to get involved.
I have agreed to do a rowing race with a few friends in Windermere.
21 miles 😳😳😳😳😳😳 I have been on the rowing machine in the gym a couple of times so I should be okay!!
... It’s on the 22-24th June with is not long I know but let’s see how much we can rise by then.
My target is not high so if you can spare a few pounds for the St Gemma’s hospice in Leeds then follow the link below.

I see this every year and for those who have had experience with laminitis I’m sure understand, so be careful, horses and ponies don’t require half as much food as you think.
