Lots of people start the new year off on a high, but for some it doesn't.
For us at the shop it has been a bit of a rollercoaster ride for the past couple of years with some major events which have had a negative impact such as someone very close to us who decided to help themselves to shop profit which left us struggling. (No names mentioned as this is still under investigation with the police, also we would appreciate it if anyone who knows to not mention any names either)... We continued to do our up most to provide the best service possible but with numbers of online sales getting the upperhand it has become very difficult to compete with this market to make ends meet.
This has caused me to become rather ill as I have had constant worry and stress for the last 2 years and it's because of this we will be closing our doors.
We will still be getting live foods and frozen foods for our regulars but we will not be filling our shelves/tanks. If there is anything you specifically require we can still order this with upfront payments. We can also help point you in the right direction for your supplies once we have closed as we feel it's our duty to ensure you can still get your supplies with ease.
This won't be a quick process as we will need to ensure all stock is sold before we vacate. This will include all of our display Vivariums and equipment which will be advertised at the time is is ready.
Finally we want to thank our customers for their continued support with us without you in the first place we wouldn't have gotten to where we are today.

When we travel down to Truro from Liskeard we always nip in to Kernow Exotics. Everyone there is really friendly n always happy to chat and answer any questions we may have. I recently purchased three Giant Black African Millipedes n two glass vivariums. They were delivered to our door in perfect condition and well priced. I will be adding more to my insect collection over the next few months from them. I highly recommend Kernow Exotics to everyone

Went in to enquire about getting some Axolotls, got given all the information we needed everyone was really helpful and helped us get a tank. We now have two lovely Axolotls Poseidon and Ares. Thank You so much for all your help!!

We've had two corn snakes, an African Pygmy Hedgehog and a Forest Scorpion amongst as well as other bits and pieces from Kernow Exotics. We'll always continue to go back as the staff are great, knowledgeable, friendly and most importantly the animals are well cared for.

We went there to have a look around today, not knowing that we would have found the snake we wanted! It was cheap and everything was ok with it. Staff were friendly, helpful and told us everything we needed to know before we want back home, well worth the visit if your near!

We rehomed an adult bearded dragon from these guys and they were amazing. Nothing was too much of a trouble... felt so at ease chatting to them. We absolutely love our girl. Highly recommended. They’re full of advice!! Xx

The one and only job my boy Jack wants to do at the minute is be a wildlife presenter like his hero Steve Backshall from Deadly 60. I got in touch with the guys at Kernow Exotics to see if he could go up and handle some reptiles…not only did they agree but they were absolutely amazing! Jack and Alfie got to handle Royal Pythons, Corn Snakes and stroke a Western Hognose, Asian Water Dragon and a Blue Tongued Skink. Every step of the way Jamie from the shop was talking through each animal and educating them. He had such a good time…especially when the Royal done a nice big poo and wee down my t-shirt � Thank you guys, you made 2 wee lads very happy. Not sure if it is something you would consider but an education/handling evening for kids would be a huge success I'm sure…we would be there with bells on. Once again thank you �

No trip to Truro is complete without a visit into Kernow Exotics! the team are a lovely bunch who are clearly very passionate about what they do and are always happy to share their wealth of knowledge. The animal stock are unmatched in their health and strong breeding backgrounds, you can rest assured you are not buying into sickness and going to be sent away with poor and incorrect information! Nothing is ever too much trouble for these guys and they'll happily go the extra mile. Ssssssssssssssssuper !

I’ve happily purchased a few invertebrates from the team at Kernow Exotics and I’ve been thrilled with what I’ve got every time! All my questions about their livestock have been answered honestly and thoughtfully, and I’ve had the opportunity to gently handle some of the more tamer species before I’ve bought them... Highly recommended!

I think there should be more stars, james is one of the freindliest and knowledgable people i know. The shop caters for all kinds of reptiles and arachnids and should be on everyones list to visit. Love kernow exotics highly recommended.

Happen to pop in with my nephew the other week! Your staff were so lovely and got some snakes out for him to see. As we got home my other nephew wanted to come back down and see the reptiles too! And yet again your staff got the animals out telling us about the spiders and snakes. Lots of patience with my nephews and they loved it. Something so simple made their day- so thank you � x

Great shop with great helpful staff. Was helped today when buying our 1 month old Tremper gecko. Lots of advice when buying such ayoung gecko. Would definitely recommend for any reptile enthusiasts. Even great just to go in and see all the different species. Thanks!!

Answered all my questions and concerns with solid info and help, which led to purchasing my first royal from them, she’s a beauty and clearly healthy so well looked after by the guys. I defiantly recommend to anyone that has any reptile needs or wants! I’m sure I’ll be a frequent customer of theirs and can’t wait to adorn their shop for my next cold blooded addition! �
