You can sign up for this year's Summer Reading Challenge at Leyburn Community Library from this Saturday 13 July!
The Challenge is a great way to keep children reading over the summer, and is open to children aged 0 - 11. Partcipants win small prizes for reading, and a certificate if they complete the Challenge.
Leyburn Community Library has organised 2 Summer Reading Challenge events:
... - Friday 26 July 10 - 12: Free space themed craft activities for 4 - 11 year olds.
- Friday 16 August 10 - 12.30: Crazy Planets arts session for 4 - 11 year olds, tickets 2 pounds each.
Please book a place for your children for either or both events by messaging us on Facebook, calling the library on 01609 535971, or in person at the library.

Blast Off for the Space Chase! Free rocket and space themed craft activities for 4 - 11 year olds at Leyburn Community Library. Friday 26 July 10 am - 12 pm. Advance booking is required - please send us a message on Facebook, call the library on 01609 535971 or pop in to the library to book :)

This year's Summer Reading Challenge is Space Chase. The Challenge runs from 13 July until 7 September and is open to all children up to age 11. To sign up, just come into the library! There are a number of Space Chase events running throughout the summer at the various libraries in Richmondshire, take a look at the flyer :)

Thank you so much to the Leyburn Guides, Brownies and Rainbows for this brilliant bug hotel that they painted, filled and donated to the library. We're sure it will get lots of visitors!
