Even though the weather is still very mild it’s now a good time to start thinking about checking your tank and getting it topped up before the cold weather arrives as the price of fuel is rising and could get worse.
The oil price is on a tear, hitting its highest level in four years, sparking speculation that the world economy could return to the era of $100 per barrel again.
Brent crude - sourced from the North Sea - has jumped over $85 per barrel, a level last seen in Novem...ber 2014.
US crude has also hit a four-year high this morning, surging to nearly $76 per barrel.
The oil price has now surged by 50% in the last 12 months, driving up transport costs and threatening to drag on global growth.
This won’t please Donald Trump, who has been been loudly lobbying Opec to get the oil price down, fearing it will hurt American consumers. But the president must take some responsibility - his sanctions on Iran are one factor driving prices up.
Analysts estimate that Trump’s block on Iranian oil exports could remove 1.5 million barrels per day from the global market. That’s a significant loss, at a time when global demand is rising towards 100 million barrels per day.
Oil, after all, isn’t immune to the law of supply and demand.
As Norbert Ruecker, head of commodity research at Swiss bank Julius Baer, puts it: “Oil prices continue to climb, supported by the nearing Iran embargo and related supply concerns.
“The supply situation looks fragile indeed, as any additional shortfall such as a deterioration of the situation in Venezuela would tighten oil supplies

It’s a year ago today that we said our good byes to our popular and much loved driver Mike Spark.
He played a pivotal role in the Lynx Fuels family and we were all so lucky to have had the pleasure of knowing and working with him.

As you all know we have sponsored Ripon Panthers Under 16's for another season and what a start to the season we have had 4 games in and 4 straight wins. This weekend we were at Newton on Ouse to play Rawcliffe. Could we make it 5 wins on the bounce? Firstly worth a mention was last weeks man of the match Ben N. who was a rock in defence bringing in the 4th win in a row.Well done to Ben! (pictured back row bhind goal keeper) Anyway back to this week's game, the game began and... both teams were evenly matched and the standard of football being played was good to watch. The home team scored first and we went into half time 1 Nil down The 2nd half began and we were awarded a penalty, Will scores and its game on. After the penalty the home side lose the plot and go to pieces, Jacob bags the 2nd goal and Will sadly misses the 3rd one by a cats whisker. The ref blows his whistle its full time and we win 2-1 Alfie S. is this weeks man of the match for a stellar job in goal. Looking forward to the next game in a couple of weeks where we face Stamford Bridge at home 2pm kick off Come along and lets cheer them on for what will be hopefully a 6th win!!

Our new truck has arrived! All ready for a busy 1st day of deliveries tomorrow on Teesside!

It gives me great pleasure to let you all know that Lynx Fuels are the proud sponsors for a 3rd season of the Ripon Panthers Junior Football Team (U16's) This year we are involved with 2 teams which makes it even more special for us, we are sponsoring one team in the YMSV York Minor League (team in the picture) and the other team is in the Harrogate League (picture to follow soon!!!) So far both teams are doing well, the York Minor league team are 3 games in and have taken maximum points in all 3 games, the team in the Harrogate division 1 game in and again they too took all 3 points. A great start to the season for both teams. Long may it last! This Sunday only one team is playing and its a home game at Hellwath against Fulford Tigers, kick off is 2pm so feel free to come along and cheer the lads on!

What other can I say except brilliant! Definitely 5 Star .. ran out of oil on Thursday placed our order with a lovely and very helpful lady named Lesley. Explained we had ran out of our heating oil and Lesley said she would do her best to have it delivered the next day. We really weren’t expecting it until early the following week. But 8am there lovely driver rang and at 8am Friday morning our oil was delivered. We really cnt thank you enough. Highly recommend lynx fuels ���
