Happy 2018 Everyone.
2018 brings new opportunities within Reed Boardall's Transport office. We're looking to appoint some Transport Team Leaders on a 4x4 rolling shift basis. The hours are 0600-1800 and the successful candidates must be reliable, have good communication skills, good administrative and IT skills. Experience would be an advantage but is not essential as training will be provided. Make contact on messenger or via our website for further details or to let us know you are interested.

It's all happening today.... the 2nd of the DAF demonstrators has just arrived. This time it's a 480hp engine, slightly smaller than the last one but DAF have suggested it delivers better torque and should increase the fuel economy. If you drove the 1st one please get your name down for this one then let us know your thoughts.

The 1st of 2 Mercedes Actros demostrator models arrived this week. This one is the 2551. Let us know your thoughts. Make your team leader aware if you'd like to get a drive in it. It would be good to see the comparisons with the 2548 which is due in the coming weeks.

A big congratulations to Joe Quigley who won the Reed Boardall model truck from our recent competition!
On the weekend Joe and his mate Carl came down to collect the prize. While they were here, Steve fired up one of our full sized trucks and gave them a tour of the site.
Thanks for coming down gents!

Reed Boardall operate a scheme to award exceptional service. Employees are allowed to pick their prize from a catalogue which changes yearly.
Mark Rogers from the planning team and Steve Platt from the driving team have just collected their chosen prizes from Operations Manager Sam Walton.
Mark has completed 12 months absence free attendance and picked a "fit bit" style watch, Steve has completed 12 months of accident free driving and chose an electric toothbrush. Well done and thank you lads...👌

Like and share our post for a chance to win (a slightly smaller version) of one of our trucks, we'll even throw in the trailer as well!

Did you know? All of our employees are eligible for our “Recommend a friend” bonus! If you recommend a successful job applicant, once they’ve completed 9 months of service then you qualify for a £150 bonus!

A few previews of the DAF XF demonstrator that we've got for the next month. There is a review sheet being given to all the drivers that take it out but we'd appreciate any feedback. More Demo's to come in the near future....

User

Been there 3 years, and still like the job. Like the kit,and get along with the office staff. Borobridge site is clean and one of the nicest cold stores to work from. Some days are bad, some are good, mostly it’s a good job.

User

Took a frozen load in yesterday, Load was booked in for 09:00. Handed over the paperwork with load ref number and was told you will be tipped at 15:00. So I called my transport manager up to sort it out, he forwarded me a screen shot showing the Confirmed booking time. I then went back to the office just to be told it's 15:00 or nothing with attitude, I explained that was not going to work for me as I was due to finish and needed to get back to our yard 200 miles away. He said what time does your 15hrs run out ?? I'm sorry but that is irrelevant as the book in time was 09:00 and they had Many bays free for me to go onto. Very Poor attitude from the staff. I went back to my cab and waited for my manager to make them see sense , about 30 minutes later another man comes out to say go onto bay 5 we will tip you now. * Your Staff need to be more respectful to the drivers and realise they have No right talking to people like S#it.

Lorries clean and new from the outside seems like a professional company.

Will plan you in for a 15 hour day everyday if you like the hours and no life with 9 hours rest this is the job for you. Office staff get people back up and mainly poorly paid kids. Drivers pay is average for area with paid breaks.

A lot of cab hopping and trailer swapping as drivers run out of time due to poor planning and organisation.

I've trampled for them done days and worked as a traffic team leading in office after 3.5years of service I broke my foot in a customers yard due to no risk assessment carried out, ground was broken and uneven. They only paid me SSP of £112.00 a week and wasn't very accommodating for me to work in office again to keep earning a liveable wage.

Your just a number no loyalty and favours are all one way.

Start time could be 01:00 one day and 09:00 the next especially if tramping stick in a layby and they don't pay for services etc .

This is just my opinion and personnel experience.

User

Living in the past flog your wick out then go home

User

Booked in for 11 am didn't start tipping till after 1, pulled out at 2:45 ,very poor organisation

User

Trzy godziny pod rampa stalem żeby rozładować,porażka!!!

User

Totally inadequate, no organisation 1 bay to tip external trucks 20+ bays to tip and load there own. No consideration for drivers, absolute joke.

User

The work is OK but ran by a bunch of arseholes in the office

User

Stay away .shit company to work for. They treat their drivers like s*** make you work ridiculous hours. And play crap money

User

User
