Ripon Amateur Operatic Society - Raos

Ripon Amateur Operatic Society (RAOS) is a charitable Ripon based musical theatre group founded in 1940 with a youth section also, the Ripon Youth Theatre.

Ripon Amateur Operatic Society (“RAOS”) was founded in 1940. Since then the Society has gone from strength to strength producing and performing two shows a year at Harrogate Theatre and venues in Ripon. The group consists of a large number of members who enjoy taking part in amateur musical theatre, whether they perform on stage, or prefer to help behind the scenes. Our members come from all over the Ripon and Harrogate district and all are welcome. The Society currently presents a musical every spring at Harrogate Theatre (usually in April), and a concert in the autumn in Ripon.
