Just to show.... it’s nearly Summer, well nearly officially Spring. Wednesday 20th March is the official start date of spring in the northern hemisphere. That means the grass will start growing, but worst of all the weeds. Get ahead of the curve by dealing with the borders now and weeding the little fellas out now, and get the mowers ready. Better still just ring me and I’ll come and do it all for you whilst you relax; at a very reasonable rate! 😉 enjoy Sunday!

Morning everybody, hope you are all having a wonderful weekend. Couple of shots of works from last week. We were busy doing lots of indoor jobs last week from bathroom upgrades to finishing touches to a clients kids playroom. Curtain poles up, shelves fit in a plastered alcove, sealant refurbished, ceilings painted, and then..... lawns mowed. Two new clients with gardens that were becoming jungles so I took the opportunity Thursday to get them cut whilst the weather was allowing. Thing is it’s nearly time to get the mowers out in anger.... where does the time go?

Weekly update.... (I’m on it today!😉).
We’ve had a great week with some nice jobs completed for both regular customers and new ones. Started the week with a couple of handyman jobs for a gentleman who is an OBE no less, fit a few garden tidy-ups in, and a few more handyman odd jobs. Finished the week with a small patio lay.
It’s been a super week, meeting lots of new clients and some really interesting, and lovely people. Lots of new business coming in, which is great an...d the advertising campaign for 2019 is already starting to pay off.
Considering myself very blessed that I have a business that affords me the opportunity to meet so many wonderful and interesting characters! Have a great weekend everybody, back next week!

Not too late....🙄 Busy week last week with anive selection of jobs carried out by the team here. We started out with a small fencing job and finished the week with a roofing job to replace the soffit boards on a bungalow. Seemed to generate loads of garden waste off just two jobs, which doesn’t bode well for the summer! Looking like things are starting to grow through sooner than expected this year with daffodils already in bloom, and you know it the grass is starting! We picked up a couple of new clients last week too, prepping for the gardening season starting so welcoming those guys to the family! Looking forward to working with them in the coming months; I love it when clients have ideas and are willing to allow us to make them reality. Hopefully we should get some really good pics off those projects.

It’s doesn’t make it easy when you try and post something and it won’t post....😤 Anyway, try again. So updates from a few jobs from last week. We had to deal with some felled boughs in the woods on the estate early last week, after the storms that blew through over the weekend. A good few hours of chopping, but the log stores are now replenished so worth the sweat and blood! Later part of the week we had a nice decorating job for one of my regular customers. It took a little bit longer than expected but the end result justified spending a little longer prepping the walls etc. Nice weeks work!

Morning all... well apologies it’s been a while in postings. My new admin is taking a while to get round to the Facebook tasks on the list...! We’ve been really busy in the last few months and I admit I have neglected the interweb bits of the business, but going forward I intend to be posting every week with an update on the weeks jobs, back to old routine with pictures and comments on what we’ve been doing. Good to be back!

Just a quick corporate charity plug.... the pictures are of my brother Phil Jones and I walking the Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge last Friday. Setting off at 06:00hrs and tagging onto Phil’s company, (The Calico Group) charity day, we walked for 11hrs solid to nail Pen-Y-Ghent, Whernside and Ingleborough peaks raising money for the Calico Enterprise Charity. The charity supports local foundations, backed by the trust to offer support and advice to the local communities on pro...blems that affect them. Worthwhile and worth the pain! We had a great day, (sore for the weekend after mind), and the team from Calico were absolutely brilliant with their support teams after each hill offering egg mayo butties, energy gels and after one hill a free pint! Good effort, and a real credit to the company. I really enjoyed it. If anybody feels generous and wants to contribute to the funds then let me know and I’ll send you the links to Just Giving.

Well... super busy at the moment with lots of lawns to cut! Pretty boring putting pictures on here of grass growing as I cut it. Next few weeks have got some interesting jobs coming up with full on garden revamps, some fences to build and repair, gates to be painted, an en-suite bathroom to install with one of our house refurb clients and lots of cabinets to build! Myself and the team are going to be super busy! All good news for us and it’s looking busy for new clients wit...h 4 new members of the Ripon Services family coming on board next week. The weather is just great at the minute and that means lots of outdoor work so we’re topping out tshirt tans up! I’m looking forward to posting some great shots in the next few weeks, (of the jobs, not us in tshirts!). Couple of pictures of random jobs we’ve covered in the last few weeks attached....

First lawn cutting job of the season for Ripon Services..... could have done with being as dry as it was yesterday....

Finally a gardening type job that we have undertaken as part of the estate management contract we look after near Masham. There are two orchards in the estate and we’ve been waiting for the weather to let us get stuck into pruning before the buds became too established. I’ve spent two days in there and we are finally making progress. It’s a great feeling of satisfaction to get these old trees back to a state where they are healthy, and will hopefully deliver bumper crops this year....

Separate post to show some work we did with a client recently who is renovating her family home. We built a spec designed alcove unit for the children to store their games and toys in, and get all their books out of boxes. Took some fitting with truly wonkiest walls I’ve ever seen, end result really works though. Also we removed the old radiators and refit them after having them blasted and powder coated. Again the end result is excellent.

Apologies for interlude, once again the fruit flavoured technology giants let me down... We have had a busy couple of weeks at Ripon Services, with a real good mix of work. We’ve got involved with some interior home developments for a couple of new clients, taking walls out, removing toilets, and smashing up some walls with one, and I’ve got photos of the second so I’ll put that as a separate post. We’ve done some more work with our favourite card maker, but I’m sure that by... now we’re all sick of looking at walls of greeting cards... so you’ll be pleased to hear I have no pictures of that to share! Two separate posts to follow, but quick summary we are looking busy now booking up through to end of May and into June already, so there will be plenty to share in the coming weeks!
As always thanks for looking!

Oh no.... it’s been over a week since we last updated our FB page. Bad form Gary! I’m blaming the admin department 😉
Quick updates from last 10 days....
We’ve been super busy at Ripon Services with both corporate and private clients. Obviously we have the Easter break, but either side of that we have done some decorating, fitted some shelving solutions for one of our favourite clients, did a good days grafting in a beautiful garden in beautiful weather, (finally!!!), painte...d a new customers garden fencing, (managed to blow up my fence paint sprayer...), a couple of handyman jobs for a new client up at Catterick. I’ve attached a jumble of pictures from the last few weeks, and promise that I’ll be better at my admin from next week! Have a great weekend everyone, and as always thanks for following our journey!

Spent the day in the workshop today cutting some board ready for a job tomorrow, (hopefully I’ll remember to get some pictures...). Client wanted some shelving solutions for her new house but when we looked at buying ready made shelves they were just too expensive, so we decided to make our own! Hopefully they’ll look cool when we get them in place tomorrow! Nearly weekend 😳

So busy.....not complaining! 😉 Started the week working on a new garden in North Stainley. Absolutely beautiful garden. Well planted, amazing plot with a little bit of everything, even a vegetable plot! I’m going to enjoy looking after this customer in the summer. The garden will look stunning, I can see it all coming through already. Anyway...started off by clearing last years growth out of the front area borders, and giving the overgrown beech tree a prune at the front. Two builders bags for the bonfire later....

Another project part from my favourite card makers. After completing the downstairs offices last week, the team have all moved round and assumed their new position freeing up the upstairs main office to be converted into a conference / training room. Still a work in progress which we’ll be completing later this week, with the operations manager’s office to be done too. This space will feature again on the page when we have got the large touch screens and some more fancy wallpaper ordered to finish the look off. Watch this space...

Afternoon... quick lunchtime updates from last week. Another busy week for the team looking after our corporate and private clients.
We started the week with sunny weather and a gutter clean up job. Nice and easy until we got to the bit over the porch! Good job I’ve got long arms, (designed to reach into my deep pockets...). While we were up there discovered a few of the brackets were out and one of the connectors had moved out of sit so we boxed those repairs off too whilst we were up the ladder.
