---Additional information to our post on Monday---
We have made a number of upgrades and improvements to the workshop over the winter as part of our involvement with the Rotax Certification Program (RCP)! https://www.rotax-kart.com/rcp for more information.
Five identical workspaces have been created around Steve’s demonstration bench, where the RCP courses will take place. Additionally, we have installed a projector screen where demonstration videos/pictures will be explain...ed in detail throughout the course. Steve has also made a number of improvements to the engine washing facilities, refreshment area, lighting, and general workshop layout. The dyno remains an important part of the workshop environment as do the fabrication machines (lathes/milling machine).
Whilst the primary focus of the RCP is to provide education on rebuilding engines to aspiring service centres, we also aim to develop an understanding of the importance of safe workshop practice and cleanliness. The courses will hopefully provide an insight into the thought process behind rebuilding engines, troubleshooting and how the engine fits into the whole karting package.
Whilst the upgrades are primarily part of our partnership with BRP-Rotax, Steve will continue to operate as an official Rotax Service Centre when not conducting RCP courses. Consequently, we are still rebuilding Rotax and historical kart engines to the same high standard as ever! Contact us via email using steve@steveogden.co.uk or telephone us using +44 1423 324738 for enquiries.
Please note that the Iame X30 side of our business has been taken over by Joe Boullen at Aventus Power (email: aventuspower@outlook.com) – please contact Joe for any X30 enquiries.
Good luck to all our customers for this coming season and thank you for your continued support!

As many of you will now be aware, Steve and BRP-Rotax, have partnered together to create the Rotax Certification Program. The aim of which is to teach aspiring service centres how to maintain, rebuild and quality check FR125 Rotax kart engines. This will be achieved using a series of courses at Steve’s workshop in Boroughbridge. The main objective of this program is to further develop the high standards of the Authorised Rotax Karting Service Network worldwide to ensure an ex...cellent level of service quality to its many customers. The program offers the unique opportunity to perfect the necessary skills and techniques – from entry level to karting professionals – through personalised educational training in a workshop environment.
The Rotax Certification Program consists of three main courses: Advanced Maintenance Course - limited specifically to the Rotax service network (5 days) Basic Maintenance Course - OTS module (outside the seal) - open to all Rotax customers (3 days) Basic Maintenance Course - ITS module (inside the seal) - open to all Rotax customers (2 days) The Basic OTS and ITS courses will run together to make a one-week course. Every course is limited to a maximum of five participants.
The cost for each week long course is £1000 + TAX.

We wish Richard Dobson ('Dobbo' to many) all the best for the future as he turns his attention to full-time acting education. After countless engine rebuilds, British, European and World meetings, a fair few race victories and championship wins, and 12 years of dedicated service at Ogden Motorsport, he's moving on to pursue a lifelong ambition in acting! Along with our customers, we hold you in the highest esteem Richard and it's fair to say that the workshop will be different without your wit and repartee. Thanks again and good luck for the future! Steve, Heather, Joe and the various team members who've been with you along the way.

Summer may have ended come finals day at Rissington Super one. But the sun kept shinning on Ogden Motorsport powered drivers in very wet conditions.
Junior Max winner James Lowther (Coles Racing) continued his successful run to finish on the top step once again.
Senior Max winner Charlie Turner, a worthy winner in difficult conditions, his first time on the top step. Followed by Bradley Barrett and Ben Davis. Making it a DHR podium lockout.
... In 177 it was once again an Ogden podium lockout with Daniel Martin (Coles Racing) in a very happy first place followed by Jamie Dyzra and Chris Thomas.
In TKM Extreme Robert Welham (Precision Racing) finished the day in second place.
Well done to all Ogden competitors.
