User

Thank you for a great week we have had a lovely time kids loved the pool and that one of the life guards recognised them every time we went in the swimming (they had toys in there hands each time lol) yes the pool was cold but no colder than any other park we have been to, it was clean and the changing rooms was clean, the showers wasn't working properly but they are been looked at apparently.

Site was clean bit muddy in places but due to amount of rainfall that carnt be helped, we stayed on tourer site so carnt comment on caravans but every member of staff we met was really helpful polite and greeted you with a smile will definitely be coming back ļæ½

User

Just returned back after another brilliant weekend away with the girls, the entertainment was fab and the staff are lovely, we all loved the new facilities (treatments/nails) the lady was brilliant and knowledgeable and at a fantastic price, the only thing we thought is she needs her own room so she can display everything she has to offer and have things set up properly. Would definitely recommend going to see her for a pamper.

User

Just got back from a fantastic holiday we had a few issues with the caravan but they were sorted out not long after reporting them the activities through the day have been great for all ages and my 2 year old as loved them all the entertainment team ellie and aisleen have been amazing with her so friendly and helpful lookin forward to coming back in October for another family week away xx

User

Just got back after a 4 night stay at the complex. The site is lovely and clean, staff are very friendly and the kids enjoyed the night time entertainment even though there was not many people there. The only down fall was the shop opening times but other than that we enjoyed it.

User

I am 13 and I have just had a weeks stay at Sand Le Mere and I have no words to describe how much I loved it!! The staff with Mayhem N Live and all the daily activities are so kind and really interactive with the children. Staff I would like to point out are Ashleigh, Ashleen, Beth, and Ellie. The food here is lovely, prices could be a little lower but overall the food is lovely to have. The caravan I stayed in was lovely and the cleanliness of the caravan for my arrival was outstanding, i had no words to describe it. The swimming pool is a nice place to have fun and play with family, the activities from 4.45pm in the pool are really fun and I suggest everybody attends to them. I was heartbrocken when my last day came, I never wanted to leave the site but the good thing is I am back again to attend with my dad next week!! Can't wait to see you all again soon

User

Returned from a family stay fri-mon, had lovely weather which was a blessing!

Caravan was basic and dated but clean and suitable for our needs, we opted out of linen but it came supplied so I was happy with that!

We only had food once from the bar which was nice enough

Entertainment at night was good but ideally of liked more for the younger kids as my kids are 2 and 6 and got bored during bingo and adult singers

The shop on site was good with very reasonable prices, great it was open late on arrival till 9pm

Coffee shop prices were a bit steep so only used it once but was comfortable and nice touch with kids play area

The pool would of been amazing if it wasn't freezing! We couldn't stand how cold it was, we were told it was due to boiler problems which is a shame as this is why we chose this park for the younger ones

The walk to tunstall beach is rather dangerous so beware and it's so sad to see it so littered! It has so much potential

I found all staff to be very friendly and helpful around the park which was a huge plus

In all we had a lovely holiday

User

Pool and other facilities was fabulous.

Service- well... It was quite good. we been there with our friends in three different caravans so what ever issues we had lets say boiler stopped working in the late evening so we went to other caravan to have the bath instead of calling reception and trying to get help as it would take time. As when one of our friends lost the keys they could not get into caravan for half a day, noone called us back we been calling many of times asking when they will sort it. I can not understand how it is possible to donā€™t have the spare key. That was not a problem that they needed to change the lock and we needed to pay Ā£25 but half a day? What people shall do if they would not have friends in other caravan? How to change, no keys from the car, no food, no money, no toilet (two small kids) all things locked in the caravan.

Also as an advice it could be an option when booking to choose do we want quiet place or no, as first evening we been celebrating the birthday so the neighbors was not happy. If we could choose we would not choose to be next to ones who came to relax and have quiet break to wonā€™t disturb them.

Apart from that everything been brilliant and we would be back for sure. Cleanliness was very good for the price we payed, I wonā€™t aspect anything more. It was difficult to get to the sea but we managed. I loved the activities for kids.

Also I found staff been very helpful when I tripped my leg and needed first aid. I didnā€™t ask for the help just asked where is the nearest hospital but the security guy called the first aider, gave me ice bags, explained where is the hospital, while I been in the hospital he came one more time to ask how I am. That was really nice from them.

Thanks a lot, we liked our short holidays

User

Just had a 10 day break on this resort in a private caravan, site very tidy, staff nice and friendly and helpful, entertainment team brilliant even thou hardly any kids got up and danced.

Only down side was we paid Ā£56 for passes (2x Adult) in which we got told we would have to show for use for everything in the main building i.e. bar, pool, restaurant to show that we was staying on site, I feel like it was a waste of money I only got asked when buying bingo tickets on 2 occasions, never got asked at the bar, or going into the pool (3 times) after getting told we needed these passes every time we go the bar.

The coastal path behind the site was were dog walkers go, could do with cleaning up!! Some dog owners like to let dogs do it on the path!! so be careful were you walk otherwise its a nice stroll.

User

Currently staying on the resort (there are seven of us; four adults and three kids). So far so good. Scoop the magician was good - I enjoyed his humour! Entertainment crew good with kids - they have really enjoyed the morning activities so far.

We have been in the pool and although a little on the cold size, facilities clean - once again kids enjoyed the water walkers they did earlier once pool had closed - well worth it.

We have eaten in the bar area and food has been good so far. We have also walked along cliff edge and to the beach - yes the erosion of the cliff tops has really taken its toll but this is nothing park can do.

We are here for the rest of the week so hopefully it will remain positive - be happy everybody.

User

We travelled 6 hours to arrive at the worst caravan we have been to. I had to go to Tesco to buy cleaning products as the kitchen and table was greasy and it smelled old and damp. The light pull in the toilet was black with dirt and the heaters didnā€™t work so it was freezing. We took a walk around the park and the caravans all looked very aged and past it which is a shame because the main complex was great, staff friendly and great entertainment for kids and adults. The swimming pool

And soft play were loved by my daughter as well as the daytime activities.

User

We are currently here at the minute and due to leave on Friday...

Pros:

-The staff are all fabulous! So attentive and great with the kids.

-The restaurant is fab, food lovely and reasonably priced.

-The swing park is a great size and lots for the kids to do as well as the mini golf.

-The pool is great, kids are having a ball in it, as are we.

-The shop is well stocked and prices reasonable as are the bar pricesļæ½

Cons:

-Unfortuently I was quite taken aback at the lack of cleanliness when we arrived at the lodge...still a lot of sticky residue on worktops and the bath very dustyļæ½ nonetheless I gave it a good once over, but I'm not sure the cleaners were in prior to us arriving.

-The showers at the swimming are awful! Each one of them are cold and barely a drip came out of them....Not good, especially as the pool was slightly colder than had hoped.

-I understand with the schools not on holiday that it will be a bit quiet and was expecting this, although both the kids have enjoyed 1 or 2 activities I do feel there is a real lack of things to do for them during the dayļæ½

All in all so far it has been nice enough and I think with some changes this park has a lot of potentialšŸ–’

User

The staff are very friendly and helpful and the complex caravans and area are all nice but the food was a big let down for me , also there is only the restaurant to get food from as the takeaway when open is from the same kitchen, it wasnā€™t the worst food but burnt and microwaved definitely was the way they went , I think they should allow an outside business to set up a takeaway or restaurant at least then there would be a choice , Iā€™d definitely go back if they improve the food but I doubt they will ļæ½

User

Just got back after a week of hell!! Problem after problem with our van from broken heaters to lumpy bed to dripping taps, freezing cold pool, bar fight which involved people being glassed, evacuation due to bombs having to be removed from site, rubbish play areas with no swing attachments, broken amusement machines, faulty cash machine and complete electricity cut which included no water plus a very dangerous route to the beach! Security staff need massive improvement but through all the crap that went on, the reception staff were amazing couldn't fault them in the help they gave in every situation and we really appreciated that. The entertainment and bar staff were lovely and maintainance were prompt and efficient as they could be. I think management need a course to teach how to manage and how to not be so sour faced tho.

User

I came here last year and had a great time so booked just for the night to catch up with my friend and her kids.

Positives - Staff and facilities are good.

Negative - Turned up today (Saturday) and leaving early tomorrow but was expected to pay for a weekend pass, not a 24 hour pass, as it would appear that having an ex X-Factor act allows them to change the rules and change the fee from Ā£10 to Ā£22.50 (adults) and Ā£5.50 to Ā£13.50 (kids). So a party of 8 was going to cost Ā£126 instead of Ā£53... thatā€™s before purchasing food and drinks!!!

My friend asked if we could just get a drink and was told she could come back at 11pm and purchase the day passes!!! We only came for the night to catch up and grab a drink or two! Not happy!

User

Currently here on a mon to fri stay. Cannot fault the complex. The pool; entertainment etc are fantastic. We are in a comfort caravan and it is basic clean, which means it was clean as far as the bathrooms and main areas but there were cobwebs on all the lights and cupboard tops and the blinds in the kitchen and bathroom are thick with dust too. Also the sofa bed in the lounge a previous guest had left a sheet on it which clearly had urine on it. (Some months ago)

My main complaint with the site is we canā€™t park by the caravan and parking bays nearby arenā€™t plentiful. Also with the rain recently the grass is completely flooded and there is no hard standing from our caravan to the roads so our shoes/clothes from splashes are covered in mud and having a 2 year old who needs a pushchair itā€™s been impossible to push the pushchair to the caravan so weā€™ve had to carry it with my toddler in it. I would recommend they look into this as itā€™s put me off returning.

User

Just returned after our 4th visit to the touring park. I feel this site has gone downhill a lot. I think they have tripled the static caravans but not improved the facilities. The showers in the pool Don't work, Just dribble cold water, not what you need after a cold swim! The tourist showers are dirty. Everything seems broke. Cash machine, amusements. Rubbish all over the site Including empty vodka bottles on the poor park! One of my biggest hates on a site is fast cars. And that includes the staff in the white transit van travelling about 30MPH. They need to set an example. The big bins are over flowing. The tables in the show bar are sticky( after they have been cleaned). The take away has closed down and looks like a tip inside. I could go on. We booked for 3 nights but stayed for 2. Shame this has happened, it used to be a lovely site and We looked forward to going. Think I will will give it a miss now

User

We been in June & July entertainment for kids poor not bad Fri sat nights but if u there for week then rubbish after that. Shop on site is ridiculous we ran out of milk it was Saturday & they said no sorry we not got any & won't have any until Tuesday also wanted bread or bread cakes no sorry not got any. Now come on these are every day essentials & the bus service into Withernsea is every 2 hrs what are u supposed to do if u haven't got a car? Went to reception to speak to young lady & got reply sorry I am on reception u need to complain at shop I had already done this & it fell on deaf ears. Very poor sorry but that left me very annoyed. Needless to say I will not be returning.
