Long Post Alert !!!! I wanted to do a Facebook live tonight but I am an emotional wreck so I have resorted to a long post instead! Today has been an emotional roller coaster and I do not know where to begin. Firstly, I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of the presents and cards I have received today. I cannot express how much it means to me to read such beautiful messages and hear how happy people are with the school we are creating! It is a long road ...and we have so much more to achieve, but I can assure you all I will not rest until I give every child what they deserve and more! I am proud to tell people that I belong to St Gabriel's and this is down to the amazing community we are part of. Secondly I want to express my gratitude to my staff who come to school every day and give 110%. They are selfless and every decision they make is for the good of the children. They give up their weekends and often stay late, putting their own family lives aside because of their love of St Gabriel's. I also want to wish all the luck in the world to Miss Richardson, as she moves on to start her journey training to be a teacher. Thankfully this is through our trust, so we keep her talent within our group of schools. From the moment I interviewed her I knew she would become a teacher. I hope her journey brings her back to St Gabriel's in the future. We sadly said good bye to a number of children today, not only my gorgeous Year 6's but one or two who are moving to new schools. We would like to send them all lots of love as they move on and hope they never forget us and the memories they made with us. No matter where they are they will always be a member of #teamstgabriels. Finally, as I say goodbye to you all for seven long weeks I want to wish you all the happiest of summer holidays with lots of laughter, smiles and sunshine. You know I won't be quiet as I never am lol and I would like to share some of my favourite moments of this year over the next few days. Enjoy your time with your wonderful children then we are back for another year which I hope will be even better! Sending all my love and prayers to you all Mrs Phelps
