Trinity Church North Ormesby

Very special morning at Family Fridays today as some of our friends shared their Eid Celebrations with us. We enjoyed delicious home cooked food lovingly prepared for us by Islam, Gunay, Dlsoz, Najah and Sylla. Amita and Nancy, our Henna Artists, spent the morning decorating hands and feet. We also had the opportunity to experience wearing an hijab (head covering) and listen to some cultural music. What a beautiful example of how we can celebrate kindness, respect and friendship 💜
We sang happy birthday to Oliver too who is celebrating being one 🙆

Great to have ordinands from Cranmer Hall with us today at Holy Trinity as part of their urban studies unit this week. Sharing our parish story and exploring theology and the role of the church in building community and proclaiming hope and love. Lots of discussion and a great curry at the Hindu Mandir Middlesbrough!

Some of the amazing people training for ordination in The Church of England coming to a Church near you soon.

Tot' praise is on tomorrow. From 9am! So come straight from the school run. With singing, a story, some bubble prayers. You would be so welcome to join us

Next week at Family Fridays (21st June, 9.30am to 11.30am) we will hear from some of our friends as to how they recently celebrated Eid and share together some cultural food. We shall be listening to some cultural music and there will be a local Henna Artist applying henna designs on our hands and feet 🙆 Najah, Islam, Dlsoz and Gunay are busy planning some delicious food for us 💜

North Ormesbys young people are taking part in Youth Talent/Music Festival happening Saturday 22nd June @ The Town Hall. They will be performing on stage with other youth groups around Middlesbrough. This is an open event so if you would like to go and support them you are welcome, I'm sure they would love to hear you cheer them on!!!

Thorntree Roses
Thank you to Thorntree Roses (based in Thorntree Hub) for inviting a group of us from Family Fridays to enjoy a tour of our newly refurbished Town Hall, share lunch together at Mima's Community Lunch and invite us to one of your weekly craft sessions. Lovely to be together and meet new friends 💜

Thank you to the Mum's who volunteered to help me to shop for new toys that we have been able to buy for Family Fridays with a generous grant from Thirteen. Thanks for giving up a day to not only shop and transport everything but sort the toy shed and put together the toys. You are absolute stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟

Our Cloister cafe is open today till 1pm a selection of savoury and sweet options. We also have a short service in church at 9:30. Church is open all day if you would like to go in and light a candle for a loved one or spend some time
