CAR PARKING ATTENDANTS NEEDED. we are looking at finding a team of parking attendants to speed up the parking in the morning of the show and help people get out when they leave. We are investigating if there is any local football,rugby ,cricket,hockey scout groups or clubs that are looking to raise some funds . Please get in touch if this may interest you and we can discuss what we could do together. Notice to all trade stands and stall holders. You may have noticed your booking form for 2019 show hasn't arrived yet. We are in process of finding a new trade stand secretary so all information will go out at the start of february . Sadly we are advertising for a trade stand secretary. We have been lucky to have Jenny and Tina sharing the post but both work and family commitments have got too big . ... The Wensleydale Agricultural Show is seeking a new Trade Stands & Publicity Secretary.
The successful candidate will be responsible for: · booking of all trade stands, children’s entertainment and food concessions · booking of all show advertising · liaison with appointed judges · ordering & organising rosettes for classes
No previous experience required but good administration and organisational skills would be beneficial. We are looking to fill the position as soon as possible.
Payment is by an Honorarium.

well hope you enjoyed a great show yesterday. Now we are calling for anybody who has a couple of hours to spare this morning. we have a great team that take all the sheep pens and cattle and horse stuff now but we could make it a lot faster if we could get more hands. whether its half an hour or 3 it would be greatly appreciated we are up there from 9am so please just land up

It is year of the dog this year at the show not only do we have the great West Lancs dog display team and a Gundog scurry .we also have the Presidents dog show(open to publics dogs) we also have Terrier racing where you can bring your dog and have a go Wharfedale Terrier Racing are happy to be invited to attend this years show. The racing is open to all small Terrier types and they must be able to fit in the traps. Racing is run in heats with the first two through the bales ...in each heat going through to the next round leading to the grand final. We will then have an open dog race for all types. Rossettes kindly provided by the show will be awarded to the winners. So if you think your dog could be the Wensleydale Champion then bring them along and enter them into the racing. We look forward to seeing you there and meeting some new friends.

The showfield is taking shape but ANYBODY free to help marking out where trade stands go or helping us on wednesday set up sheep pens give us a shout , there is loads to do and some of our best loyal helpers are of an age where they should be instructing younger members not having to do all the hard graft. There will be people there everyday from now till friday night so dont be shy give us a shout if you fancy being part of a great crewe. After a great show on saturday there will be a team of us taking it all down again on sunday morning so that the tent people can come and collect them. please come along and give whatever time you have we will be there from 9am till approx 1pm

we have a new attraction just confirmed for this years show A GUNDOG SCURRY. Andy Brook of Ingdalehowl Working Labradors in conjunction with the Three Ridings Labrador Club will be running a gundog arena for the first time at this years Wensleydale Show on Saturday 25 August.
There will be a gundog display and problem solving clinic and the main event will be a working gundog scurry competition with a three dummy pick-up and up-and-over hay bales which will all be timed.
... There will be Novice, Open and Junior handler competitions with prizes up to 4th Place.
