A creamy, buttery-textured cheese, full of flavour with citrusy, lemon notes! Perfect for this Summer weather!

we always make a detour to Hawes so that we can pick up our cheese fix. Love most of the cheeses but our favorites are Onion and chives and blue wensleydale. The blue as a more supple taste and isnt as strong as stilton(which I dont like). Theres a very well stocked shop were you can purchase almost anything thats made in Yorkshire, from tea bags to beer. Theres a very nice cafe that servers only things that are locally sourced. So its not just a factory its a place you can spend time in and taste cheese,.

Wonderfully insightful and educative tour, great fun for the little one, incredibly innovative business, best cheese tasting selection on the planet!

We had a fabulous time at the Wensleydale experience. So much to see and do at a very small cost. The cheese tasting was outstanding. ��

Visited last week. Excellent cafe, superb coffee and got chocolate with fresh whipped cream and marsh mallows. Cheese emporium is cheese heaven spend a fortune. Then the shop......

The food served in the restaurant is fabulous! I’m Coeliac and the dishes I had were so good. Lovely shop, tasty cheese, but I didn’t do the tour so can’t comment on that. Nice clean facilities too �

The creamery is amazing the self guided tour was fantastic, learned lots of interesting cheesy facts and as it is a working factory you get to see it made. Then to top it off you have the gift shop for everything you could ever want. The cheese shop inside the gift shop is amazing, as you get to taste so many cheeses. This is good for all the family.

Stopped for coffee and cake - excellent as always. Also took the opportunity to stock up on cheese including one with Black Sheep ale!

Recently sampled new yogurt range, wow very nice and tasty a real serious yogurt with proper creamy yogurt taste, only one slight mark for improvement on the pot bottoms as they are a bit fragile and I lost one because it dropped out of fridge and split open, not big drop either only about two feet. Will purchase again as best yogurt I've tasted in ages, just needs care in handling during transportation and fridgeing

Love it. Enjoyed everything's there yesterday worth it. Lovely shop, interested history's the things, lovely restaurants very cleaning. Thanks booked interpreter for the deaf people really enjoyed themselves & myself. Enjoyed different kind of taste of cheeses yummy.

If you are a cheese lover this is the place to go. The cheese tasting area is a must and introduces you to a variety of different cheeses which otherwise you might not have considered buying.

Full of such great food ����� scones massive with cream, butter and jam. Oh the cheese tasting mmmmm delightful spent nearly a hundred pounds between the shopping list I had from The Crown at lofthouse my daughter and me ,hot chili cheese , pineapple Wensleydale , caramelized onion , apricot cheese , the list is endless well worth the drive xxx

Fantastic place to visit and the staff demonstrations were just great. Very knowledgeable and with a good dose of Yorkshire humour. Lots of info and great tasting and shopping opportunities. Loved it!

Well worth the visit, very informative you get to see the cheese being made & to finish it off there is a cracking restaurant with delicious food great service or a coffee shop & not to mention the cheese sampling room great job

Some interesting historical cheesemaking equipment and a very informative (and humorous) lady giving a practical display. As we were there on a Sunday, the creamery was not in production, but film and touch screen helped understand the industrial process.



The (free) cheese tasting is excellent with numerous interesting combinations to try - we did!!!! Prices are reasonable and I believe cheaper than those in supermarkets.



The restauarant was also good value and the food excellent.



Worth the detour 👍🏽👍🏽

New cafe - always enjoyed my wensleydale cheese and fruit cake in front of the log fire but that’s now a restaurant. Still quality!
