We’ve just received our first batch of oolong and white peony tea at the bakehouse. We love our existing tea loose tea range from Forleaves Tea Company but we thought we needed to go to the next level in the wonderful world of tea. A special thanks to the Forleaves Tea Company team for their help with our tea mission! #tea #teapot. Come try it now!

Catch us tomorrow at both Wetherby Food and Drink Festival and Hovingham Market! We have some great bakes ready and waiting.

Full-Time Coffee Shop Assistant (Permanent)
We are looking for somebody who is keen to join our growing family. The right candidate needs to be enthusiastic about what we do.
... Duties will include cash handling, coffee making using a Rocket espresso machine, presenting products effectively, ensuring food safety procedures are adhered to, taking customer orders, preparing light meals, housekeeping duties and other less frequent tasks determined from time to time by the company.
Barista experience is advantageous however training can be provided. The role is very fast paced so therefore experience in a similar environment is preferred. Customer services skills are crucial to this role because at YO Bakehouse we believe the service standard should always exceed expectations.
Hours to be determined by rota however the right candidate would be required to work weekdays, weekends and school holidays.

Well that’s us done and dusted for another year of the #maltonfoodfestival. Thank you for making it our most successful weekend EVER!
Please note that we will be CLOSED tomorrow whilst our calves recover (only kidding- closed for the bank holiday). See you all Tuesday.

After a potentially rocky start to the Malton Food Festival (our new oven wouldn’t switch on!! 😆) we are now ready and set to go go go!
We will be open from 8am tomorrow and 9am Sunday and will be offering our full menu from opening.
Much like last year, we will be running our outside seating area, so everybody pray for some ☀️. We also have indoor seating- downstairs and upstairs (upstairs having a reduced menu consisting solely of drinks and our homemade cakes).
... We also have a stall opposite the shop for all those wanting treats to go home with.

Wonderful coffee and delicious peanut m & m brownie this morning. Perfect on a snowy day. Even brought home some lovely sourdough.

We were looking for somewhere in Malton to have a small, tasty bite to eat and some excellent coffee and that's definitely what we found at YO Bakehouse. There was a lovely, warm welcoming atmosphere with great customer service and delicious food and drink at very reasonable prices. We'll definitely come again! Thank you! �

Popped in for the first time yesterday, it was excellent! We had a lovely pot of tea, delicious sandwiches and fab cake. YO has an eclectic and comfortable interior and delicious food and drink at sensible prices. Would highly recommend x

My first time here today after wanting to go for ages and it didn’t disappoint. Food was fabulous, staff were very pleasant. Couldn’t fault it. Will definitely be back again soon!! :)

Best I have ever had !!!!

I ordered a goats cheese, pear and walnut salad for lunch here today. This was the freshest, tasty yet simple salad I've ever had when eating out. Perfectly dressed and seasoned and exactly what I hoped for and totally delicious!!

And the best coffee I've had in a long time....

Have just had the most amazing afternoon tea! Made extra special by the fact that they opened up especially for us - the food and service was amazing! Thank you soooooo much, we will definitely be back! X

Had the tastiest and best afternoon tea for a birthday treat. Such a great selection of pastry, sandwiches, scones & cakes. Delicious handmade food yet reasonably priced & I would highly recommend.

Had the best afternoon tea for a surprise baby shower this afternoon. From setting up the table with all our little bits to the food it was just brilliant! Would highly recommend and will definitely be coming back. Thank you so much!

Had rarebit. Delicious. Daughter enjoyed plain ham sandwich. Quirky interior. Music. Great service. Took away 2 cakes. My flapjack had caramel & pistachio topping. Divine. Daughter crunchy brownie. Yum.

Dropped by for a cup of tea with my daughter. We shared a millionaire shortbread which must be the best we've tasted! Both the chocolate and caramel was gooey and melt in the mouth! We loved it and will definitely be coming back for more.

Came across this fabulous place today. A welcome rest from the glorious heat of Yorkshire! Exceptional service from delightful staff and our little whippet was made very welcome too (massive thumbs up from a dog lovers perspective!). Scones were amazing, coffee was delicious... Wish I lived nearer but my waistline is glad that I don't!!

Called in for first time today for lunch with friend, ( it won't be the last). Lovely face to face contact welcome into the cafe. It's a great space and relaxing. The sandwiches were certainly a feast, they don't hold back on the fillings! With this I couldn't find space for a sweet treat,so this will be a first on my next trip. Thank you guys x

Been to all the coffee houses/cafes in Malton over the past 17 yrs and this wins hands down. It has courteous staff that's always a winner with me....... you can have a coffee/tea or have a light snack , sandwiches or a tasty tart. There homemade slaw is to die for. Cakes are delicious. Its cosy lovely decorated and well thought out... Congratulations about time we had a number one bakehouse in Malton. Maybe you can tell we enjoyed ourselves here
