Congratulations to the 204 Army Medical Services Tactical Training Exercise (AMSTTE) team, who received the best reservist team award in York today, and 6th overall out of 22 teams, including the international teams.

Starting to get some more photos and videos through now - thanks RFCA NI , great work as always. We will try to get as much content up as possible in the near future. Thanks again to everyone that attended, and all the support staff that made this year's Medical Challenge run so smoothly. 🏆🎖️

Congratulations to two of our members, a Corporal and Honorary Colonel, who received runner up Defence Reservist Nurse Award, and a lifetime achievement award respectively.

Well done to our AMSTTE team who completed two Munroes, including summiting the UK's tallest mountain, Ben Nevis.

Exercise Arduous Serpent 18 Training Scenario While on a patrol to locate the Ballykinler Freedom Fighters, our interpreter suffered a gun shot wound to the upper leg. She was directed to self treat while the enemy were suppressed. Under covering fire, she was dragged to a more permissive location. Here her self-applied tourniquet was checked, and another applied alongside a dressing. The nurse and medical student pictured below provided treatment and generated an ATMIST... report, while the rest of the section provided all round defence and continued updating command via radio. The evacuation time was given as 1hr+, due to unsafe airspace, so prolonged field care drills were performed (HITMAN):
*H - Head-toe, Hydration, Hygiene *I - Infection - gloves, wound washing *T - Tubes - taped and secured *M - Medication - ?antibiotics/antiemetics *A - Analgesia *N - Nutrition - in prolonged circumstances
The patient was then successfully handed over to the evacuation team.

Well done to all of our walkers that participated in the annual Scottish Garelochead March. This tough event qualifies the team to march in Vierdaagse Nijmegen, the Netherlands in June.
