Did you know, Skin Cancer is the most common type of cancer diagnosed in Northern Ireland (Public Health Agency 2015), with nearly 4,000 people being diagnosed every year?
It is important for everyone to stay safe in the sun, especially with this glorious weather we are currently enjoying, but Farmers and outdoor workers are often exposed to long hours of sun, and therefore are at a greater risk of sun damage.
Meet Dee our Safe Sun Ambassador! Dee is a local farmer at Heron F...amily Farm in Moneyreagh and has kindly agreed to share his experience of skin cancer to encourage outdoor workers to take care in the sun, and think sun safe.
For more information about how to stay safe in the sun please download our new Safe Sun Z Card leaflet at goo.gl/xJzFhM
Action Cancer Safe Sun Campaign is kindly sponsored by Gordons Chemists

Knowing how expensive it must be to put these courses on just reiterates for me that Action Cancer is a charity with the people of Northern Ireland in its heart! I'll never forget Gerarldine, Mary And Karen for the positive impact they had on me and my long overwhelming journey. Thankyou Ladies and thank you Action Cancer
