TO WAX OR NOT TO WAX!!

... Maybe soooooo but not when it’s all over our flipping body 😫
Ladies this is the perfect time of year to start waxing if you haven’t already as the winter clothes are starting to slowly wiggle their way out of the wardrobe and it’s much easier to hide our hairy legs lol so here are some points in when and why should we wax??
❤️removes hair directly from the root ❤️smooth silky skin ❤️lasts 3-6 weeks depending on hair growth ❤️hair grows back finer and softer no ugly stubble you get after shaving ❤️exfoliating- waxing removes the top layer of dead skin cells so is fab for exfoliating too ❤️diminishes hair growth- after a period of time the hair will noticeably grow less ❤️no skin damage- no chemicals used on the skin that hair removal creams have so skin is saved from their damaging effect
How often should we wax? Everyone is different but here at aileen’s we usually recommend every 3-6 weeks to more you wax the longer you will be able to leave between waxing! ❤️ more gain less pain 😂
IS IT SORE?? 😂😂 everyone has different pain thresholds.. your first wax after shaving ir using hair removal creams is usually the worst because the hair is at its thickest.. this doesn’t mean your going to be fainting on the bed but you will feel it slightly more nippy.. we use hot wax here at Aileen’s everywhere except leg and brow so this is 90% easier then the usual strip wax
Will I get in grown hairs? Usually this will prevent ingrown hairs more so than shaving it is really important to exfoliate and moisturise between waxing as this will leave the skin soft and hydrated so the hairs can push through the skin easier
What type of wax do we use here at Aileen’s? We use both Waxperts and Lycon hot wax.. we apply a oil to the skin first so this means that the wax is sticking to the hair not the skin = LESS PAIN!!! Yaaay!!! We use lycon syrip wax on the legs and brows this is theeee best creme wax we’ve ever used with little to no redness after ❤️

Was at aileens retreat this evening an it was amazing yet again �could not fault this place, without a doubt will b back very soon ���x

Took mummy yesterday for mothers day I had got my make up done here years ago for a wedding and loved it but back then I didn't drive,now I do, heard they done spa packages so I thought i would take mummy for a treat and all I can say is oh my word � we had Christina she was a lovely down to earth girl and Aileen herself for the treatments which we both enjoyed we were made feel at ease and comfortable with you two girls and we didn't even know yous,me and my mummy will definitely go back and I have recommended this retreat to 3 people already, hope to get seeing yous girls all keep up the good work �

Spent a fantastic Saturday afternoon at the Retreat - best facial by Natasha and then relaxed in the hot tub. Highly recommend this - special occasion or for a treat - you really have to experience this!! So lucky to have it so close to home!

My sister and I had our first visit to Aileens Beautique on Friday evening, the whole experience was fabulous! Staff , treatments and products available were all amazing , we both felt very pampered and relaxed coming away. Would highly recommend it and we will definitley be back....thank u ladies ��

My sister Deirdre got married on Saturday and the week preceding it I had to catch up on some badly needed maintenance. Donna at Aileen's Beautique had to squeeze me in at some unsavoury hours but we got there in the end! The last session was the morning of the wedding when we had a lovely, relaxing makeup session, the results were absolutely amazing, and I was showered with compliments all day. Aileen and her staff are so obliging, highly recommended. (I just need a day in The Retreat now girls...!)

Just had the most fab full body Pregnancy massage with Emma! Throughout my previous 2 pregnancies I never bothered with massages as lying on my side didn’t really appeal to me. You just can get the right pressure. BUT! Aileen has only went and sourced a pillow where you can lie on your belly!!!!! Such a treat!! One of the things I miss the most at 31 weeks!! (apart from wine �)

Emma was brilliant and used the perfect pressure to Relieve my back pain! The hour just went far too fast! Can’t wait for my next one �

I love looking out for Aileen's monthly offers. I have been for several massages & they were amazing & relaxing! The staff are so polite, friendly & all round lovely girls! I have also had Aileen do my make up a few times, which was gorgeous!

I had the full body massage with lava stones and all I can say is wow. absolutely fantastic, would recommend anyone to take 60mins to themselves from their busy lives and invest in this treatment, I felt totally relaxed during and after this treatment, Donna has magic hands. First time here last friday and all i can say is wow! So impressed with shauna. Lovely girl. Explained everything thoroughly and was so friendly. Treatment was so relaxing and the room was warm and comfortable. Being a trained therapist myself i always enjoy being on the recieving end of a treatment. Will definately recommend aileens and ill definately be back!
