From Saturday 21st March 2020 our shop, Alexanders of Markethill (Furnishings) Ltd, will be temporarily closed as the world pandemic of Covid 19 continues to advance in our nation. We have tried to remain open as long as was advisable and wise in the circumstances but feel that our civic duty for the health of our staff, our customers and wider society outweighs any other considerations. This closure will be for as long as is necessary and we will awa...it further governmental advice as to when it is safe to re-open.
DELIVERIES: We have also closed our delivery department for the same reasons. All goods will be delivered in due course upon re-opening. Please do not phone as the shop will be completely unmanned during this period. In the course of time, upon an anticipated return to normality, all outstanding commitments will be resolved.
STAFF: We feel our duty to those employed by us and we are committing ourselves to paying and retaining all our staff, so that, should governmental advice change, we will be ready to respond quickly to restore normal business.
HISTORIC: Nothing like this has affected our company in the last 66 years, for it has always been, even during the dark days of the Troubles, ‘Business As Usual’. This has been an immensely hard decision to make. It has been and will continue to be an incredibly stressful time in all our lives and we ask that you remain calm and obedient to government in this on-going trial.
May our nation rediscover what is good and right in the months to come. May our people turn to the only One who gives meaning to this life and hope for the life to come, Jesus Christ, the Saviour of all those who put their trust in Him. May God bless you all at this time and you make every effort to stay safe and consider others in need.
