AlphaTech are delighted to announce our collaboration with Belfast Metropolitan College and Velocity Aircraft UK.
Velocity Aircraft are a four seat kit-build composite aircraft, capable of carrying four people at a cruise speed of between 150 to 187 knots. The aircraft features an un-stallable canard design and De Lorean-esque gull wing doors. It’s an impressive design and up to now, unseen in the British Isles
The first UK & Ireland based Velocity SE will be built at Belfast... Metropolitan College by a team of experienced engineers and first year students. AlphaTech will assist during the project where necessary and especially at the later stages of the project from our main base at Newtownards Airfield.
It’s an innovative idea that links General Aviation to the next generation of Aeronautical Engineers and Airline Pilots. The project is led by the UK & Ireland Velocity agent Peter Day, Chris Corken & Jim Stott from Belfast Metropolitan College.
Summer 2019 will see the first UK registered Velocity SE aircraft flying from the AlphaTech hangar at Newtownards. It’s an exciting time, we will keep you all posted on progress as it happens.

Sim flying the A320 for an hour was the most boyish fun I've had since I did a parachute jump in 1994; and Paul is a first class flying instructor. More please!!

Probably the best fixed base A320 you will find in the British Isles. Superb sound & graphics. Smoke in the cockpit can even be simulated along with all the ECAM failures you would expect in a training device like this. And passionate instruction from Paul and the training captains

My 11 year old was given this experience as a gift. His instructor was great with him and gave all the support needed to have a full flight experience from Belfast to Gatwick. He absolutely loved it and can't wait to go back!

Highly recommend you try it, you will not be disappointed!

Had one of the best days out I've ever had, down at AlphaTech. Their a320 Sim is amazing and Paul is extremely knowledgeable and keen to make your experience as real as possible. Fantastic experience! Went with my son Paul and I flew Vienna to Dubrovnik. Paul did the return leg via hydraulic failures, power failures, engine fires. Amazing!

Best about by a long shot. Looking forward to my next session. Top quality a320 sim and top quality instructor. Highly recommend!!!!
