Today is International Day of Charity! One of the 5 Steps to Wellbeing is Give - so why not give something to someone else today, whether it's a compliment to a friend, or giving your time to someone or a donation to a good cause!
You can give a donation to New Life Counselling in many different ways below - and any amount, no matter how small, is hugely appreciated ๐Ÿ’œ

There is still a long way to go as every suicide is one too many, but this is good news in England, Scotland and Wales - hopefully we will see a similar trend in NI in the future

What might Screen Time be replacing in a childโ€™s life?
โ€œScreen timeโ€ is time spent with any screen including smart phones, tablets, TV, laptops, computers and video games
Why should we limit screen time?
... - Screens replace opportunities for eye contact which teaches us about interaction and reading facial expressions - We learn quicker through real play with real people in the 3D world - We learn language best from responsive human beings - It may damage sleep quality - the blue light from screens increases alertness, causing sleep disturbances - Too much screen time can = not enough exercise โ€“ which also affects sleep, or could cause obesity.
Try to develop a 'healthy media diet' for your family!
