Ridulously sized portions! Huge! The food was totally delicious! The staff was very friendly and helpful. The ringing bell for the bar downstairs was quite annoying though. Ding ding ding all evening. Adds to the charm I guess?

Nice cozy bar, pool table and booths up the back, £3.50 for a pint and dead on staff. Can't go wrong with a few pints here.

Terrible. I was with a group( my family) for a christening which is fine but we were waiting for about an hour before we even got our starters. The bar man John didn't allow us to use the pool table until before the kids had almost left (not kid friendly). We had to ask multiple times for the jukebox to be turned up. When we got our starters they were tiny but anyway it then took another 30-45 minutes for our mains to come which only had a tiny scoop of potatoes and one roast potato. They said it came with veg but once everyone had got their dinner it was already eaten by the time we got out veg not to mention the waitress telling our table in particular our veg is coming soon a couple of times and it didn't come until everyone had eaten their food. Once everyone finished their mains the kids had dessert to eat but didn't come until it was reminded to one of the waitresses. Wouldn't recommend with a group and the bar people are stingy. Prices are decent but won't be going back again, give this place one too many chances..

Took the family for an early Saturday tea and was ever so pleasantly surprised. Not only one of the best steaks I've had in a very long time but all the kids and even my mother cleaned their plates too! Well worth a visit
