Ardmore Medical Centre

Having been going here all my life in the past five years it's really gone down the tubes.
For example the receptionists are terrible, due to inclement weather my pharmacy had to close early and it was imperative I be warned, so I could pick up my prescription early. Apparently my pharmacist spent ten minutes arguing with the receptionists.ish trying to get my personal contact number until he had to be put through to a go. As for me, the receptionists are the same. The nurses are possibly the best, most polite and likely the most polite. The newer doctors are terrible, with one telling me a chest infection was "just a pulled muscle" until I ended up in A&E because of it.
The older doctors who have been with the practice a long time are the best, but sadly most; if not all have either gone private or retired by now. They would actually hear you out, the new doctors look at you as if you're there simply to waste their time and fob you off with a prescription of over-the-counter medicines just to bundle you out the door. I don't know whether they have too many patients, or they just don't care about the patients they have, either way they have terrible bedside manner.

These two stars are for the one older doctor who I think still works there and especially for the nurses, who have a great attitude, unlike the rest of the staff.

I have been with the practice for roughly two years. I have found it to be extremely difficult to get appointments. Practice secretaries consistently ignore your calls, purposely obstruct the appointment process and have a pretty poor attitude towards patients. Doctors generally ok, if you ever manage to actually get an appointment with one, although it's never the same one twice in my expierence.

I advise anyone considering joining this practice to stay away at all cost. I have been with over a dozen practices in my life and never came across one with so much disregard for their patients. The reception is absolutely terrible, that's if you can get through to them. They will try their best not to see you, pass you off to someone else or whatever it takes to get you out of their hair. They really do not have any consideration for their patients and I advise anyone who is considering joining this awful practice to stay as far away from it as possible! The worst care I have come across in a "health centre" in my life.
