NEW HORIZONS defines the beginning of yet another new chapter. This time it’s going to be different! Continuing the epic saga through life, in this newest installment we will discover what we have learnt in the past and how we will be ‘going forward’ and doing things differently. At this crucial moment in global uncertainty this evaluation seems to have come at the right moment for The Artist.
“After the first glass you see things as you wish they were. After the second glas...s you see things as they are not. Finally, you see things as they really are, and that is the most horrible thing in the world.”- Oscar Wilde

Thomas' statement:
‘Artist in Belfast. Having lived across the UK, I am interested in the post-industrial persona of cities; in-particular the navigation of a queer identity through working class environments.
Performance led and site based, my practice is concerned with how everyday decisions affect the rest of your life. Slightly dramatic! The continuing drive is to look at how an individual navigates through the day to day. As the work is experience led, I respond directly to the narrative of a current environment; accommodation, relationships, financial security and legacy are all elements that underpin the anxiety of my narrative.’

The Array crew were out yesterday in solidarity for #internationalwomansday - amongst our colourful cast of characters were Mother Ireland (who demands bodily autonomy!), Busting Through The Glass Ceiling, Westminster and A Sad Cow. The always amazing @frecklescorp was resplendent in her crinoline cossie as she spoke brilliantly on behalf of Alliance for Choice. A joyous and empowering day was had by all. Vive la revolution! (Thanks again to the wonderful Oxfam Botanic Vintage for helping us out with our fantabulous outfits!) @ Belfast

About the book
What are the contemporary issues in abortion politics globally? What factors explain variations in access to abortion between and within different countries?
This text provides a transnationally-focused, interdisciplinary analysis of trends in abortion politics using case studies from around the Global North and South.
It considers how societal influences, such as religion, nationalism and culture, impact abortion law and access. It explores the impact of international human rights norms, the increasing displacement of people due to conflict and crisis and the role of activists on law reform and access. The book concludes by considering the future of abortion politics through the more holistic lens of reproductive justice.
Utilising a unique interdisciplinary approach, this book provides a major contribution to the knowledge base on abortion politics globally. It provides an accessible, informative and engaging text for academics, policy makers and readers interested in abortion politics. #abortionrightsnai #proudofouremma
