Sliding skelly rollers and pins. The bush in one roller was gone and had worn 3mm from the bottom of the shaft We bored out the worn roller and fitted a bush made to suit. The second roller we made a replacement bush. One shaft was salvaged, the other was welded up and machined back to size.... Job done...

Why should you do a walk round check ? This is why! Loose wheels can kill. On this hub the spigots are worn until they are paper thin, fortunately this was caught before the wheel separated from the vehicle. This hub was saved and machined back to spec.

An update from the tail lift project which was taken apart for refurbishment.
.Parts were sent away to WR. Coatings for shot blasting and painting. .We started to re-assemble the components fitting new pins and bushes .The rams were repaired with new rods and seals... .A new control box was made in-house on our new plasma cutting table and pressed on the Durma 220t brake press .New light brackets were also made in-house to re-locate the tail lights .The tail lift was then independently certified for use and hired out.

Another trial run in the re-purposed of used parts, to work out if any savings exists in repairing BPW cam shaft which have grooves worn into them. We have machined the shaft down; welded them up with 309 rods; then machined them to sizes and recut the cir-clip rings. We estimate the savings per axle to be £74.00 per axle.

We supplied a customer with machined parts and made-up these tighteners to hold tipy-toe rams secure on his Broshuis semi low loader, after a failure with the previous setup.

A SAF axle repair one bearing seat and one left hand thread

ROR axle repair, the end of the axle was bent between the bearing seat by 3mm after a bearing colapse that destroyed the inner and outer bearing seats and threads. The taper between the bearing seats was also ground down by the hub rubbing on it.

Problems problems problems, it seems every where your go the manufacturers want to complicate things. Now we are faced with an (8) eight sided nut. So no options but to make a socket from scrap material to remove the nut. Sometime later, a socket
