It has been nearly 1 Month from David had us out to remove the carbon build up and apply a custom wrote Stage 1 Avon tune to his DAF CF 85.
Davids Lorry is used in car transportation thus spends a lot of its time on idle which in turn leads to carbon build up around the engine.
This is where we come in to help. Firstly we removed the excess carbon build up around the engine to ensure the engine and its components are moving and breathing as they should. Following the engine carbon clean the carbon build up was removed and we applied our stage 1 Avon tune. (Shown below)

A Scania P420 owned by Mvt Transport in for an Engine Carbon Clean and a stage 1 Avon tune.
The driver had noticed that this Lorry was starting to slowly reduce in mpg. This is one of the tell tale signs of carbon build up and we could also hear the top end clatter and noticed it missing ever so slightly in the low RPM.
So to maximise the efficiency of this Lorry first we removed all the carbon from the engine and had everything moving a breathing as it should then we applied... a stage 1 Avon tune.

Here we have a Scania R470 having its Sage 1 Avon Tune applied.
A few months ago we first removed the carbon from the engine of this truck and since then it has seen a increase of 0.4 mpg on its daily work. The owner also noticed the top end clatter that these straight 6 Scania engines all have was really quietened down and the engine went up through the rev range smoother and changed gears on the opticruise smoother also. He also noticed that he changed the oil after the cle...an and it was near 7000 kms before it started to change colour from clear on the dipstick as since carbon was removed the oils rated cleaner longer.
The owner now felt that since all the carbon had been removed and the engine was running like a dream it was a good time to have our Stage 1 Avon Tune applied.
Stock this engine produces:
470 HP 2200 NM
The figures we could safely achieve on this engine with having no detrimental effect on the trucks long term reliability with a stage 1 Tune is:
540 HP 2530 NM

Today we were out and about working on a Mini Cooper d, that was having troublesome EGR issues. After pricing a replacement EGR valve the owner decided to get in touch with us and we where able to head to the customers and offer an economy map to save on fuel and a custom EGR solution for less than the price new EGR valve.
Next up on to a Mercedes C200, which was having EGR problems, and had a heater booster control module fault code stored on the ECU. We where able to offe...r our EGR solution and delete the heater booster control module code and apply our stage 1 Avon Tune.

This morning the owner of this Seat Leon got in touch to say he was having EGR problems and hot start issues.
When we go out we noticed this engine was quite smokey and had some top end clatter so we advised to get the most of the tune to have the carbon removed first. So after a full health check we proceeded to remove the carbon from the engine.

Today we had the pleasure of being called to this stunning V8 Scania 164 480 of Eglinton Timber Products.
Since we are have a mobile service we came and met this Lorry in Belfast this helps to save operators time and fuel taking the Lorry to us. When we got to this Lorry we noticed it had a rough idle and it was fluttering under 1,500 rpm's. So before we tuned this Lorry firstly we removed the carbon to restore any power and mpg lost due to carbon build up so as to get the mo...st of of the remap.

Here we have a Lexus IS 220D in for tune and a EGR solution. While carrying out our full health check on the vehicle we found it to be quite sluggish with flat spots up through the Rev range. We know these engines are susceptible to carbon build up so to get the most out of the map first we carried out an Engine Carbon Clean from Engine Carbon Clean NI to remove carbon deposits from engine internals before it was tuned.
After two 30 minutes sessions on the gas with a spirited... drive in between, the top end clatter from the engine was gone and it was sounding so much healthier and the flat spots where also gone from the rev range. We also logged turbo boost pressure, air flow rates and carried out a full diagnostic health check to make sure there was no underlying issues. So with the carbon removed and a full bill of health this IS 220D was ready for its custom wrote file.
Such a transformation to this vehicle after our Engine Carbon Clean service and our Avon tune.
