Ballycopeland Windmill

Lovely place.

Great restoration. The visitors centre is open beside the windmill where you can get some background and history about the windmill. Toilets available during opening times. The windmill itself is not normally open due to the restricted movement, limited head height, trap doors and open mechanisms that could be a danger to the unknowing. There are guided tours every so often at the weekends.

Fairly basic and wasn't open!! Worth a very short visit if you are nearby

Finally getting some long overdue TLC and is being restored/renovated. Interesting piece of history and worth a stop if your are passing. Fingers crossed it will be functional again soon.
