Our squad which travelled to Manchester for the Youth Karate Open Championships. 12 athletes competed bringing home 9 medals, 2 gold 2 silver and 5 bronze. Again congratulations to our medal winners and a special mention must go to Morgan, Mya-Rose, Sam, Arlen, Hannah-Rose and Isla who all performed fantastically well but unfortunately just missed out on medals this time round. Thanks to Trevor for coaching Teresa for competition organiser and Ann + Rachel for their help and support on the day. To all the parents for supporting the competitors and the coaches. Brilliant result for Courtney Morris in the North East Open Karate Championships in England over the weekend by winning Silver and Bronze medals in her own weight category and open weight category with some great performances using a wide range of techniques from body and head kicks to single and combination punches. Courtney received loads of praise from other coaches and competitors alike for her outstanding fighting skills. We are All so pleased and proud of this young lady for her fantastic achievement. Congrats to father and daughter Neil and Indigo-Rose Wilson on passing their 5th Kyu grading in Banbridge Karate Club. The two have worked extremely hard and performed a very good grade showing great determination and focus. Big well done from everyone at our club,super job. Kevin.
