I did not enjoy my stay at this Hostel at all and will not be back. First of all I was sick the couple days I stayed in Belfast so I basically lived in the hostel. This was not a good place to try and relax and get better. The room was very dirty when we arrived and it wasn't just dust on the floor it was an overall unclean feeling. The undersides of the beds look like they have never been cleaned so there is an accumulation of dust and lost belongings of backpackers past. Our beds were located right next to the bathroom door which was unfortunate for me because the ventilation was nonexistent in there and it smelled horrible of poop/pee/BO/mold. The roof is covered in mold it's almost black and there is no soap or hand towel in bathroom either. The most dissapointing is the fact this wasn't a cheap hostel, more expensive than most I've stayed at and it was a 16 bed room! The reviews I've read said that it was centrally located which is not true. It's far enough out of the way in a neighborhood where there are no restaurants, pubs, etc. I didn't have a bad experience specifically with the staff as I've read others have. One thing I will say is reception doesn't open until 11am (check out time) so there is nobody at the desk until then which means you can't store your luggage if you're trying to check out early and do a day trip. Overall I hope others read this and realise what they are getting themselves into when they stay here. More importantly I hope management reads this; it's seems the reviews are all very similar with common complaints dated back at least a year which means they aren't reading these reviews and trying to change anything. Good luck!

Good hostel. The 0-24 reception and the price is a huge advantage.

Location not great (walk to City center is 20+ minutes through deserted area). Staff very helpful and rooms/bathrooms reasonably clean. Sound carries in old building, so though my room was quiet, I could hear commotion from common area and other rooms all night.

No frills. Cheap Base for a few nights. Really close to the city centre of Belfast (1.5 miles) or if preferred there is a local bus that goes to the city. Can be a bit noisy though but that is the downside of sharing with 7 other guests in the one room.

Really wonderful hostel, great facilities as well as a generous free breakfast and an ideal location near the uni, but what really makes your stay is the incredible team of a staff! Haven't stayed in a hostel with this kind of vibe for a while, this is a special place.

The management are arrogant, rude and dismissive. I was told that I could cancel my booking without being subject payment despite being within their 48 hour policy. But they did not honour this. Instead they charged me for both nights without my knowledge. When I noticed this the following week, I pointed it out to them but they and ignored me. When I followed it up, they just referred me back to their cancellation policy.... I would never have cancelled the booking if I was still going to get charged but they misled me to believe that I wouldn't get charged. They are no longer responding to my emails and I can never get through to them on the phone. They have RIPPED ME OFF! I have paid for a service I didn't receive. I've never experience such terrible customer service
